I received an email saying I won a Disney vacation. I'm not sure if this is legit. Please help. Here's the body of the email.

Sometime in the past 24 months you signed up for either a set of our free
cruise tickets, our free Disney theme park tickets or our free Orlando vacation.
This email is to notify you that you are one of our 10 Grand Prize winners.
As a Grand Prize winner you will receive a complete, all inclusive Disney vacation
for up to 5 people. And that means just what it says. The only stipulation in this
contest is that you will have 12 calendar months to use this vacation starting on
June 21, 2010. There is no catch and we are not trying to get your information,
we already have it. The information we received at the time you signed up is as follows:
(email) (name)
So all that's left for you to do now is to go to our Official Winner's Site, fill out a
small form notifying you that you have received this official notification email.
Congratulations, Winner's Site

Thanks for any advise!

What's the name of the sweep?

Did you enter for any sweep for trip to Disney?

"Sometime in the past 24 months??" THey can't even be specific about their own sweepstakes entry??

I'm gonna say it's not legit.......probably time share or something like that, where you'll end up having to pay for something.

ETA: Most sponsors will send you an affidavit to fill out when you win a larger prize/trip. Not have you fill something out online.

Thanks for the advise. I think I have entered a sweeps for a Disney trip, but I would have thought they would have called or sent a letter. I did go to the web site, and they want me to enter my name, full address, spouse name, our income, and a credit card number. It sounds more like a phishing site, but I thought maybe someone may know more than I do.

OH HECK NO!! :O

A real sweeps win will NEVER, EVER ask you for your income or credit card number. This is a definite SCAM.

I've won many things over the years.....big and small.....and not once has anyone ever needed that information from me.

ETA: I just found this same email/letter on another sweeps site that I go to. Someone else got it and was asking if it was legit. All responses were that it's a scam.

I've gotten those same emails and just deleted them. I couldn't remember signing up for a free trip plus I didn't like that they asked for CC info. I figured if it was free why did they need my cc info.
