My sister is wondering if anyone knows of anything between Fl and the Grand Canyon that is worth seeing or doing. Especially kid oriented things???

They are taking a summer rv trip and are trying to plan...

TIA!

I suppose it's morbid, but you could see where JFK was shot. I've seen it and don't get the fascination but it gets tons of visitors!

was gonna recommend the okc bombing memorial, but you're not going that far north, would be way out of the way, lol

They can start at Honeymoon Island State Park which is just north of Tampa in Dunedin .. I love it there :) .. that is how I'd start my journey .. lol.

I think I've been there.. I don't remember since it was 5 years ago when me and dh went (we had a wedding and 3 other places to hit before I had to come home).. If it is where we went it was gorgeous!!!

Has she sent for all those states vacation planners? She can go to the state sites and have them send her info and the planners.

Go to state festivals to see if any cities are having them at the time they are going through. They are usually fun. If they can take their time they can see lots of off the main road fun places.

Arizona has the coolest off-beat tourist attractions ever. That's where we're going on vacation next year. Kids love stuff like Meteor Crater and Wigwam Village and London Bridge is fun to see too. Google brings up a bunch of stuff.

If you belong to AAA you can also do a trip ticket and plan your itinerary and they should pull up neat places to see.

Download the free version of google earth. You can set it up to pull up state parks, national parks, places of interest, you name it. It is also has web interactive links for sights. You can even fly into street level in some places and see your house. If you go through Albuquerque, you can take the tram up to the Sandia Peak, as long as you aren't afraid of heights.
