"Secret Life of the American Teenager" - anyone watch?

I was definitely curious about how the show would go after Amy had the baby, since that was such a major focus. But with these characters, there is NEVER a lack of drama or new situations.

My favorite character is Grace - I can't wait to see what goes down with her and Jack this season!

I didnt watch the first season because I thought it was just another stupid show like the many that have started and failed but I started watching the 2nd season to see what all the hype was and now I admit im hooked! Im kinda thinking theres gonna be another baby somewhere...not necessarily by Amy but somebody.

And what I like about the show is that its pretty close to REAl. When Amy had the baby she had to think of adoption and her mom is making her work they didnt show her sliding on by with her mom being an angel and taking care of her like most other shows do so girls get to see kinda the real side of getting pregnant young even though it is just a show

One of my favorite parts was seeing the new guidance counselor -- Blossom! I think it's awesome she is back on TV and she was actually really funny.

I feel like this could be the season for Ricky and Amy, I think the baby is def bringing them closer together. Maybe?

Umm but ya did you miss the part where she too is sleeping with some dude behind Ricky's back at the same time he is on her. The two of them are a mess LOL

I think this show is great..but it show kids who are in HS having sex and its ok..Every couple here I think has had sex, swapped mates, had a baby, slept around, all while in HS. This show is supposed to be a family show, on at a family hour....JMO

I guess times have changed so much from when I went to HS..:O(

Yea, they definitely cover a lot of topics on this show. But I think the "family" in this case is how the family deals with Amy and her pregnancy and how they all have to be there for each other. Yes, it's some more grown up topics, but I think they still try and stress the family aspect about it.

Plus, it's on late enough where I think its appropriate.

I'm undecided.I don't understand why she had to tell him and get him worried,she should have taken the test first.Why tell him at all if she plans to abort?
My daughters and I are a little disappointed with this season.All everyone talks about now is sex,it is so far from the reality of high school that it is just getting silly.

I have said that all season...this show every episode has been nothing but sex talk...I think she must have told him down below that it broke and she needed to take a test, so he went up with her. It will be neg. I cant imagne them bringing the abortion issue into this showbeside the talk they did(and I cant see them having another teen w/ a kid)..I dont understand why it is everyone business what happens to every single person every second. Is HS like that now? If so I am so glad I am out and it surely wasnt like that when I was in!

3-1 June

Amy attends a music program for teen mothers; one of her friends at the program is Bristol Palin, playing herself, in a cameo appearance.

The answer to the question you're all asking about Adrian is: Yes.

3-4 July

Mackenzie Rosman is back as Zoe, the teen that slept with Ricky to get back at Adrian for sleeping with her boyfriend. She shares screen-time with Grace.

3-5 "Which Way Did She Go"

Two band geeks are under the impression that Amy is pregnant again. Madison insists Amy isn't pregnant, but they don't believe her. Amy's actually still at a music program, but no one outside of Amy's friends believes this excuse. (We would not be surprised if the music program is used to lighten Shailene Woodley's load as she's currently filming a movie with George Clooney in Hawaii, just as Anne going to Mimsy's was used to deal with Molly Ringwald's maternity leave last summer.)

Meanwhile, with Amy out of town, Ricky is in charge of John.

Henry tells Alice he'd want her to keep the baby if she was pregnant. (This is just a hypothetical situation, by the way . . . but clearly something is happening in the lives of someone they know to bring up this topic.)

Tom's at the courthouse applying for a job in the mailroom. He says his girlfriend is pregnant -- and by "girlfriend" he means Adrian

No it is not like that all.Kids are doing things younger these days,but it is not the only topic spoken like it is on the show.I do think it may be the #1 topic to some kids who's parents don't bother talking to them,giving them limits,etc.

3-15 "Who Do You Trust" (January 2011)

Beverley Mitchell (Lucy from 7th Heaven) appears in a new recurring role as the school counselor.

Ricky's getting tested for various STDs because Amy asked him to do so, as she's considering having sex with him. Amy's somewhat concerned when she sees him talking to his former lovers, though he's only asking them if they have or have had any STDs. (One of them, by the way, is Zoe [Mackenzie Rosman].) He goes to the clinic to get tested, and while there, he runs into his foster mother, Margaret, who works there.

When George tries to talk Amy out of having sex with Ricky by using a book, she reminds him she's already been with Ricky once before.

Madison asks her dad, Morgan (William R. Moses), if she can go out with a guy she worked with all summer.

While at work, Ben finds his mind drifting elsewhere as he accidentally gives a customer a knife, and Bunny (Kathy Kinney) has to cover. Later, Ben and Adrian discover their baby's gender. Unlike with his experience with Amy, Adrian has no problem with Ben seeing her stomach for the procedure.

Tom's the VP of Human Resources at a company owned by Milton (Scott Klace). Tammy's working for him, but she reminds him she's married. An employee comes to Tom and tells him Milton is a horrible boss; the employee ends up quitting, to Milton's delight.

Absence (over the summer) did not make Lauren's and Jesse's hearts grow fonder: Lauren (Camille Winbush) and Jesse (Austin Stowell) aren't happy with each other.

3-16 (2011)

Lauren and Jesse split up due to his post-high school plans, and she's happy she didn't sleep with him.

That guy Madison wants to date? He was her boss over the summer, and he's older, and we're not talking "college-age" but more along the lines of being in his 30s. As you might expect, Madison's parents say no to the relationship upon meeting him.

"Deeper and Deeper"


Ashley's being homeschooled now, but George thinks she needs some social interaction. He tosses a slightly geeky boy named Toby into her room as her new study buddy. This being Secret Life, the topic of conversation between Ashley and Toby quickly moves to sex.

Ben and Adrian are looking for a new condo, which Leo's going to buy for them. And they're in love! Ben has doubts about the latest condo they're examining.

George feels restless without any company at home; he tells Anne (who appears to be living in her own condo) that he needs a friend. Later, he believes he's on a date with Ricky's biological mother, Nora (Anne Ramsay). However, Ruben arrives at the restaurant with a woman, who turns out to be . . . Nora's girlfriend! (Ruben managed to free Nora from prison.)

Grace and Grant are having sex now, though she's worried about a hypothetical time in the future when they might fall out of love.

Lauren has already moved on to a new guy; Madison's determined that both Jack and herself will have to go without sex for a while.

General season 3 spoilers

In January 2011, the last half of this season (season 3 part 2; or, season 6) will begin airing. We should get at least 11 episodes for the winter season. Also, we fully expect the show to be picked up for another season. The show probably won't be renewed til January or February, but it's definitely happening.

When the show returns in January, the third school year will begin; it's the senior year for Ricky, Adrian, and Jack, and they'll have to start considering their futures beyond high school. Also, despite their best intentions, Ricky and Amy aren't over Adrian and Ben just yet; and you can expect more surprising couplings coming to the show. Oh, and in Megan's Park's own words, "Grace really starts to let loose a lot more and some pretty dramatic things happen in her life."
