We were at walmart Sat. night and there was an employee outside helping to get the carts and he takes off his glove and wipes his nose VERY, VERY sloppily. I mean GROSS. Then put his glove back on. And I would bet my last dollar he did not wash his hands when he went back inside. This is why i'm so adamant about using those wipes for carts. Dh used to make a fuss till after I told him what I saw. GROSS!!

Shopping carts have got to be some of the dirtiest things out there. Gross

When I was in Walmart today, there was a little boy sitting in the cart, maybe 2 years old.
He was licking the whole inside of the cart with his tongue.
I told his mother, but she just ignored me, grossed me out something awful.

It grosses us all out but I don't know a child who hasn't done it.

My daughter use to knaw on the handle of shopping carts when she was teething. This was back before they had Lysol wipes. I use to wipe them down with a baby wipe. Not sure how much that actually helped, but I felt a little better.

I am a firm believer on being clean and all that good stuff, but being a germ-a-phobe, I am not .. That is part of the reason we get as sick as easily as we do because we no longer give our bodies the chance to build up tolerances or immunities to things. We just disinfect everything and think that is the answer. Yes, carts are gross, as are elevator buttons, door knobs and anything else the general public touches, but just wash your hands with soap and water after you shop and you should be fine.

I did the exact same thing with each of my kids when shopping. Our walmart doesn't have them out like every other store. They are at the greeter stand, but don't look like for the public. I get them anyway. I rarely go there, but did notice that right away.

My sister is a lysol freak...seriously she lysols everything in the winter at the first sign of sniffles...people in her house are sick ALOT. I on the other hand aren't as happy with that stuff..of course my house is clean but I dont see a reason to run around with a bottle of lysol unless it's in the kitchen, kwim?

Anybody having a hard time getting the swine flu shot? We've been calling around trying to get it. My husband has COPD and I want him to get it. They're saying it'll be November before they get enough here. I sure hope we can get it or I'm worried about my husband. His lungs aren't really good and he'll get really sick if he gets the swine flu. I want him to be protected.

I went to Walmart tonight and the man in front of me used the wipe they have there so I did as well. During the swine flu season IMO it's a good idea and I am going to visit my sister next week so don't want to be sick.

We have a deli here that has huge bottles of hand sanitizer out at the salad bar, the cash register and when you come into the store. Tonight at another restaurant their menus were sticky so used the sanitizer wipe I had in my purse.
