I was just talking to one of my bestfriends who works @ Pizza Hut. She was a shift manager at a store near my house but when she started school she left that store to waitress at the store her mom runs. I asked her to ask her mom if she needs anyone from 9-5 t-f and anytime on sunday and monday. She then told me that the store she was at needs a shift manager and my time frames would most likely work out, so she's going to talk to the gm at that store for me since i have management experience @ KFC from years ago....I'm so excited that I could potentially be going back to work!!!!

Please cross your fingers for me!!!

I suppose that would work LOL!

I haven't worked in food for over 5 years, so I'm out of practice, hense why I'm nervous. I just hope it works out!

Good luck!

My advice though is that you go down to the store today & apply for the job yourself. Don't depend on someone else to do it for you. You need to prove that your are independent enough to be management material by doing your own leg work.

Good luck with the job and congratulations on getting back into the work force! I've been out of work for over a year now and the thought of going back is quite scary. But, I'm sure you'll be fine. :) Some things you just never forget

I called to talk to him today, he was out on a delivery so I spoke to some chick who my friend said was his gf(she was a RUDE witch) who told me that most likely can't use me because of my hours of availability but I can call him tomorrow morning to talk to him, which is what I'm going to do!

Only thing with that is they open @ 11 and tomorrow Chloe has an early dismissal from school at 11:15, and my neighbor can't get her tomorrow because her boys get out early too and will be home around 1130 so she wouldn't be home in time to get them off the bus.

Yep, out of all the days for them to get out early(preparing for conferences the following day) it has to be tomorrow.

:) I just got a call back from a grociery store that I applied at LAST NIGHT ONLINE...I have an interview on Monday @ 10am!!!

Interview went really well, the HR lady just needs to talk to the front end manager to make sure my hours won't be an issue...she said she's going to highly recommend hiring me though!!

I am so happy for you. I know the desperate feeling we can have when funds are running short and no where in sight to get the money. I hope you get the job. I also remember the fear of going to work. The longer you are out of the work force or school, the harder it is to get back in. I am glad you have found a job you think you will like.
