Do any of you have pet insurance? What are your thoughts , experiences, etc with it? We have a 4 yr old miniature pincher that is the joy of our life.
We don't have pet insurance but I know if anything happened to him we would want vet help for him at what ever cost. I've been thinking about getting insurance.

I have 2 cats that I raised from 3 weeks of age & they are now 4 years old. I don't have pet insurance for them since they are indoor cats.

I have taken them to the emergency vets on several occasions, once when one went through a screen door & once when my boy got his front paw stuck on a chair rail. Both times cost me several hindred of dollars, worth it to me, but honestly I can't afford an extra bill right now.

I'm required to have pet insurance where I live. I have it through State Farm as a bundle package along with my life and car insurance. It's very affordadle too!!!

I think the OP is meaning pet health insurance but then I could be wrong.

One of my dogs had a pet insurance plan when we adopted her (she was an owner relinquish) and we were able to just transfer the plan into our name. We found that it didnt cover most basic pet care and the plan we had seemed for for major care so we ended up dropping it when it was up for renewal. All of my dogs have been very healthy and have never had any major issues-knock on wood! I liked having the piece of mind we we had it though.

I tried to send you a messege but your inbox is full and you have to make room for new messeges....
I have two miniature Pinschers and I would love to see pictures of your baby. Let me know if you find out that the insurance is a good deal, we need it here too.

Ok I am just starting to research it. Ours seems healthy too but I do know if he did have something go wrong , we would want to do what ever , at what ever costs and I know vet bills can be very expensive.

I tried to clean out my inbox. I will work on it more.
In north Alabama, at one of the humane societies, they had over 40 min pins dropped off over about a week period. They think a puppy mill decided to go out of business and just dropped them off, all ages. They were all up for adoption about a month ago. I don't know how they are doing with them.
