It sucks
a couple of articles I found, Me and my oldest DD are not alone on suffering from not being able to eat fresh fruits or veggies, as it turns out, it has a name, and others suffer from it also. Interesting.
The other night, I wanted a piece of cantelope, it smelled so good.... so I ate like a 1-2 inch square chunk of it, and my throat started to itch real bad and close off. I also can't eat raw potato, raw carrots (only if dipped in ranch), raw celery (only if something like peanut butter or something is on it), banannas, honeydew, kiwi(and others) I can eat peaches, watermelon (sometimes), plums, tomatoes and some other stuff though. The carrots and potatoes and others have to be cooked.
In these articles it narrows it down to what allergies you have and what foods you can't eat associated to that allergie. I found it interesting.
Oh yeah, with me and DD, it makes our throat itch, sometimes hands and feet also. And I guess with me, it closes off the airway with the cantelope...
oh yeah, and my DD's lips swell up big on some stuff she eats.
It's just a real pain, I would love to eat a good cantelope.
