My friends, note this face well, it needs to be plastered everywhere! This waste of human life is 21-year-old Arsenio Horvath of Orange County, FL. Horvath raped his dog, an 8-year-old Whippet named Silvy, so badly a number of times that a vet determined her internal and external injuries so severe she had to be euthanized.

An anonymous tipster said that Horvath was abusing his dog. When deputies found Horvath at his home near Bithlo, they saw that the dog’s legs were duct taped together and a cloth was pressed to her genital area. He was told to take Silvy to vet.

At the vet, after finding out how much treatment would cost, he refused to authorize it and was encouraged to sign the dog over to animal service. At that time a vet determined the dog’s injuries were too severe and had no choice but to euthanize the dog.

A necropsy revealed male DNA inside the dog.

Horvath was arrested, charged with animal cruelty and admitted to sexually abusing the dog on at least 6 occasions. His reasoning… his excuse… awww, he was lonely.

A judge set his bail at $1000 then ordered home confinement and prohibited him from contact with farm or domestic animals.

Unbelievably, bestiality is not even a crime in Florida, so all that Horvath can be charged with is animal cruelty. Another bestiality incident in FL, in Ocala, caused one woman, an office manager at Ocala Animal Emergency Hospital, Cindy McManus, to create a petition to have the law changed.

“The idea of doing anything like this to an animal is just so depraved I’m making it my mission to change this law,” said McManus.

You can view and sign the petition HERE. The goal is 50k signatures and sadly, it’s not getting the attention it desperately needs!

Personally the thought that Horvath could be out walking the streets anytime soon is terrifying to me. Who or what is going to be the his victim the next time he gets “lonely”… another family pet…. a neighborhood child… an elderly person who cannot defend themselves??

I call B.S. I live in Orlando and it would have been all over the news. There is also NO ONE by that name in the Orange County Jail. I don't know where the "source" of this story is but I believe someone made it up to get people to sign their petition. Which if they knew anything they would know that "internet signatures" are USELESS on petitions they must be signed in ink in person and provide id of the person so it can be verified.

I signed it. But I wonder, since it is for a Florida law change, does that mean you need to be a florida resident?

Why in the hell would anyone want to do that?
Go freaking beat off or find a doll........ just disgusting
Poor poor dog.

As I stated above the petition is useless you can sign it a million times and it will go no where. In order for it to get onto the legislative calendar they must have over 60,000 VERIFIABLE signatures from FLORIDA residents. Internet signatures are useless so please sign away it might make you feel good but it won't do anything in the State of Florida.

Sorry it should be Registered Voters in Florida not just residents. Non registered voters signatures would be removed by the State from any legitimate petition.

Was it too expensive to treat the dog or was the dog too far gone?

In one breath, the vet says he can save the animal with $$$$, but in the next breath, says the dog was too far gone. :hmmmm:

So would the vet take the money knowing that the dog was too far gone and put the animal through all that.....or was he not willing to treat the animal on his own after the owner gave the animal up?

This might be a totally bogus story....but that part of the story doesn't make sense to me. :shrug

Accused Orange County dog rapist: "I was lonely"
By Bob Hazen @ July 31, 2009 9:35 AM Permalink | Comments (20)
An Orange County man accused of raping his dog could be getting out of jail soon. A judge set bail for 21-year-old Laszlo Arsenio Horvath (pictured) at $1,000.

The arrest affidavit for Horvath says animal services got a tip from a caller that the young man was abusing his dog at his home on Darlin Circle near Bithlo. An officer caught up with Horvath and told him to take the dog, an 8-year-old Whippet named Silvy, to a veterinarian.

Investigators say Horvath did take Silvy to a clinic, but then refused to get her medical help when he found out how much it would cost. He then turned Silvy over to the vet and left. The doctor determined the dog's internal and external injuries were too severe and euthanized the dog.

Deputies say when they asked Horvath why he had sex with his dog, he became emotional and said "I was lonely." He said he sexually abused her at least 6 times.

A judge put Horvath on home confinement but prohibited him from having any contact with any domestic or farm animals.

I went that it was a false story because the date of the incident was not in the original post. Therefore I checked the Orange County Inmate Database to find if he was incarcerated. Which he is not. This story didn't make very much "noise" when it was a news story which doesn't make sense. But again the petition is a waste of time as it will do nothing in the Florida Legislature. Funny part is Where is PETA?? You would think they would be burning the guys house down over this but they are not heard from.

I thought that was maye why you couldn't find anything on him being in jail now, cause it was last week, and he has already been released.
Don't know anything about petitions though.....

The PETA thing, I don't know, they seem to be in an uproar over "eaten" animals. ???!!!
Which I heard, that one of Pamela Andersons hot sports cars~~ the seats are made from the hide of cow skin or something like that?!!!!

At most places here, they charge you for the exam upfront, you pay that regardless. So I guess the guy couldn't afford it and surrendered the dog. Then when the vet checked it, he decided that it was too far gone.

My friend's dog had puppies and one was stuck. She took it to the vet across the street and they wanted 75.00 upfront before they would even look at it. She couldn't afford that, so she surrendered the dog so the shelter would treat it.

Yes, I was really disgusted one time a while back, I had requested some info. from them, thought it would be interesting to check it out. It was suppose to be for children. The little phamplets/magazines were in comic like kid form, looked like it was aimed for kids anyway. You opended them up and it had very disgusting pictures of cows being be-headed, blood guts and just plain disgusting. Glad I didn't hand that one over to the kids before I looked at it.

We had to pre-pay $35 just for an appt at Cape Coral, FL Animal Clinic to get Shelbydog in for an ear infection.
20 minutes later we owed $166 with the $35 deducted & her usual meds.
The Cape Coral animal clinic was very expensive from my experience, in IN it would of cost us maybe $70 + meds.
