I graduated from Valdosta State University on Aug 1! received my bachelor's in special education with the CUM LAUDE honor. I start student teaching on Aug 17 and also start on my master's program...this time next year I'll be able to say.....woohooooooo I'm finished with VSU and I've got a job (keeping fingers crossed). Husband's in the same program as I, and he graduated Aug 1 too but with a MAGNA CUM LAUDE honor...the butt.

We had an awesome VSU class grad party Saturday night. :dancing: Husband even got on the dance floor and danced with me.

But I'm sad to say goodbye to some of my classmates as a few aren't continuing on with the master's portion....life interferes sometimes.

Quite a few of husband's family showed to see us graduate but none of my family did...oh well..they missed out..NOT me.

Just wanted to share the excitement...still riding a high.:dancing::dancing::dancing:

That is great! Congrats to both of you! You and your DH should be so proud graduating with honors. :) My DD graduated in May with a BA in Early Childhood Education. She has a job subbing in our local school district and hopes it will lead to full time eventually.

Thanks everyone...we are proud of ourselves and each other. It's pretty good considering all the family issues we've had and the financial end of things.

Congrats to your daughter also. Our degree is actually in special ed/early childhood. If she gets tired of Ohio, she could come down to Georgia, lmao.

Thanks! If she can't find a full time job here in the next couple of years she might head that way.
