I finally had it up to my eyeballs with my male ex roommate, left for the weekend and he had a party and apparently some of his peeps used my room to... in as the sheets were messed up in disgusting ways. My restroom had been used and it is a mess. I wont go into anymore detail or I am going to vomit. Confronted my female roommate and she won't kick him out. I got so mad I left this morning and found me my own place. I can't afford it, but I can't afford to have my stuff trashed either. New place is clean, but needs painted etc. Great thing is, because I agreed to paint it and finish up a few odds and ends my rent is going to be $100 off a month. I went back to the house and woke the male roommate up and told him he was going to replace my mattress ((it was less then 5 months old)) or I was going to call the police for destruction of property ((wouldnt stick I know but I was desperate)) he agreed to buy me a new one and tried to give me a check but I made him take me to the bank and withdraw the money. I was able to find a used one that was clean and I sprayed it down with odor ban and vacuumed it. Already painted the bathroom and boy, do I hate painting! But, I am going to love having my own place

wow, I know from some of your previous posts that this guy has no respect but I mean he has no respect. I bet the ex-female roommate will wish she had also confronted him. now she is stuck with him!

I hate painting also...painted my bedroom and living room this spring but after the job is done, it is very gratifying. Nothing like a fresh coat of paint to spruce up a room. that is great that you get some $ off the rent for the elbow grease put in.

you'll at least have some piece of mind now. (yeah, I would have been ready to beat someone had they trashed my room and bath. I can only imagine what went on there!)

I remember moving here.. Every room in the house except 2 were a pale pale yellow.. I don't like yellow.. I painted every room in this house some nice color. I didn't mind painting and now I am painting the garage because the company that painted our house wanted a few extra hundred.. Yeah I don't think so

Congrats on your own place.. The peace and quiet will be well worth the painting :)

Glad you're getting out of there. I'm a little confused what exactly was wrong w/ your mattress? And how do you know the same thing didn't happen w/ the used one you just bought? (unless of course there were rips and tears all over the place) Good luck at the new place, I would have been pissed as well if I came back knowing that ANYONE was in my space.

There was body fluids of unknown origin on it...keeping it rated G ...but it twas nasty. Only reason I know is the stains were obvious, the mattress is off white

nasty.......
after the fact, but perhaps a lock on the door might have helped

NOBODY should have been in your room period. I would have put the nasty mattress on top of sleeping male roomate.. and made sure the stains were in his face.

I had roommates when i was younger and after the 3rd one I said no more. Hubby doesnt like others living with us either so that solves that problem.
Congrats on your new place, you will love the peace and quiet and not worrying about someone waking you up or getting into your things

Good for you to get your own place.

Just inquiring....your name wasn't on a lease correct? (the old lease)

This was the first and only time anyone has ever gone into my room. The place is old and none of the bedroom doors had locks
