Woke up Mon morning and have joint pain all over my body...but only at the joints. Knees, toes, fingers, lower back. No fever. Anyone else? Never had a history of health problems. This is ridiculous.

I would contact a DR that is a pretty serious symptom for someone with no health problems. Hope you feel better soon and that it isnt serious

The same thing happened to me. I woke up one morning with my left shoulder hurting down my arms to my finger tips. And my knees and hips hurting. Now I have stiffness and pain some days but not others. It came on all of a sudden like yours. I really hope it isn't arthritus. With my shoulder I couldn't raise my arms or reach for anything. I had to go get muscle relaxers, anti-inflamatoy medicine and pain killers. That pain went away but I have a hard time sitting down and getting up from chairs. I can't believe things can come on you over night like that.

It sounds like Arthritis. But why all of the sudden you would get it in ALL joints is strange. I agree I would head to a doctor.

See a doctor. You could have had some kind of mild strep infection and that is what causes Rhumatic (sp) Fever. Rhumatic Fever hits a person in their joints and causes pain.

My brother just had that not even a month ago. All he kept saying was his joints hurt and he just wants to go to bed. But after trying to wake him up he WOULD NOT get up, he wouldn't talk or anything he just wanted to sleep. So after the ambulance got his to the hospital they said he had strap and it got into his joints and he was extremely dehydrated. So I wouldn't definitely say go see your doctor.

My co-worker went thru something similar to this a couple times last year, then again just a few days ago. She finally got a diagnosis of Psoriatic arthritis. It "flares" up when ever it wants to. She has it in her knees and fingers mostly.

I have arthritis, and I can tell you that every joint in your body does not hurt at once. Go see an md, poste haste!

There are dozens of things that can cause these symptoms and speculating might be way off base without being seen. A doctor would be your best bet. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks all. I have an appointment for Monday. It comes and goes...I don't get it. I hope it isn't serious....like Lyme disease. Web MD is the WORST.

if you want to get scared brainless, go to WebMD and type in your symptoms !!

I must field half a dozen or more calls a day from patients who've diagnosed themselves online and are really fearful when they talk to me. If you Google joint pain, you can have anything from fatigue related pain to MS.
The internet can be great to learn about an illness but it's also full of misinformation.

I had a Ortho Dr. tell me to stay off the internet since only the worst case scenario will be on the net and if I had questions to ask him that was why he went to school for so long.

My mother's onset of rheumatoid arthritis was like that - the day before she complained of a bad headache and neck pain. The next morning - BAM! It manifested so quickly, to the point that she had a lot of trouble moving. It took some time for the doctors to get the right balance of drugs to help her deal with it.

I looked up Lyme disease and it doesn't mention those types of symptoms?

When I am a brittle diabetic, back before I was diagnosed and taking medication, one of my symptoms was all over joint pain, including in my feet and my toes. I am glad you made a Drs appt, please keep us updated

Thanks everyone. Well see once I call the dr tomorrow. It isn't as bad today. Just tired. Who knows. I only hope that I will be ok. Everything happens at once. Dh is having a mole checked out bc it is changing shape and color. Ugh....

Same thing happened to my dad. Has had it since 1994. He just woke up with it. It's hard to believe how this just hits so fast. I hope that this is not what you have.

Well, no rheumbatoid or fybro....or lyme disease...it is a virus that mimcs arthritis. Sadly, once I got to the dr the symptoms were going away....Starting to feel much better...but man, it was horriable. I feel awful for people who have to live with this on a daily basis.
