I might be a grandma!!!!

My soon to be daughter in law may be pregnant.. :) :) :) :) :)

She took 2 pregnancy tests last night... and both of them came back pregnant. :) :) Then 2 more this morning... both positive

I am trying not to get to hyper till she gets a blood test.. but its hard..lol

she has had a lot of female problems and they told her she would have a hard time getting pregnant... so I am being hesitantly excited..lol

My son and her are getting married on the 20th.. just in time I guess..lol

When I was pregnant with my son his heart had only been beating for about 2 days. I had a ultrasound and they barely could tell he was there because his heartbeat was so slow. He just celebrated his 8th birthday this past Saturday. So hopefully it is just really soon. A babies heartbeat doesn't start immediately it usually doesn't start till around the 5th week.

It's too early to see anything by transabdominal ultrasound. Generally nothing much can be seen by TAU under 6 weeks. A transvaginal US may pick up a sac but that's usually past 4 weeks (closer to 5) from the 1st day of your last period (not conception) The rule of thumb this early if there is a question is to do a quantitative hCG. The beta hCG levels should double over two days time.
The heartbeat is there but almost negligible at this point in a pregnancy.
I tell patients this probably 20 times a week, lol. Those weeks before you can see the fetus seem like years. I remember waiting with my own pregnancies.

Good luck to them and I hope everything goes well. :)
