I have yet to find a recipe for my fave pasta salad.. if anyone knows, you can get it at walmart and some other delis, at walmart, it has noodles like kraft mac & cheese w/ a sour cream dressing... (I think it's called great mac and cheese salad) OMG I love that stuff and lately they've been out of it :sob

Sweet pasta salad
1 pound rotini pasta
4 carrots, shredded
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, diced
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup white sugar
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups mayonnaise
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In large bowl, combine pasta, carrot, green pepper and onion. In medium bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, condensed milk, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Toss salad with dressing and chill 4 hours in refrigerator before serving.

I make one with bow tie pasta, pepperoni, cheddar cheese cubed, marinated artichoke hearts, black olives, onion, cucumber, green bell pepper and grape tomatoes, then add a tad bit of mayo and Italian salad dressing, plus the marinate from the artichokes oh and I add a can of sweet peas as well.

I make mine with lots of fresh veggies. Cook your pasta until just done, but a little more cooked than al dente. Cool well. (I cool mine by adding it to ice water right and away and draining well.) I add chopped: celery, onion, cucumber, broccoli & cauliflower. You can add as much or as little veggies as you like. I add italian dressing..not light or fat-free. Add to taste. Salt & pepper to taste. If you don't like the italian dressing, add mayo or Miracle Whip to taste instead.

I make homemade pasta salad often. My recipe is as follows:

Spiral or bowtie pasta
Broccoli
Tomatoes
Green peppers
Onions
Carrots
Italian dressing
McCormick's Salad Supreme
Parmesan cheese
Cook the pasta to desired texture. Combine the items and season to taste.

For a 'quickie' I do al dente cork screw pasta, sliced black olives, diced onion (small amount), diced green pepper, grape tomatoes halved and Wishbone Italian Dressing....quick & easy.....

This is pretty much what I do too. You can add all sorts of stuff to it, cheese, pepperoni or summer sausage, ham chunks, cucumbers.
This is what I make for the 4th of July picnic!

My favorite is tuna macaroni salad. I make it like potato salad except with tuna and macaroni, boiled eggs, mayo and pickle relish, a bit of onion and garlic and yum.
