I was told at the post office on Monday if you get the stamps with the bells on them they will work after the prices go up as well. That's what I bought. Said that it didn't matter if you bought them before the prices went up. They will be accepted.

Those are the "forever" stamps and you can use them no matter how much the postage goes up.

I went and bought like 100 of the forever stamps. I only use about 4 per month paying a few bills. so should last a long time!

Thank you. I couldn't remember what the stamps other than stamps were called. I bought 4 books last Monday. I talked with our postal carrier yesterday. She said that as long as we use the Forever stamps we're alright. Glad I stocked up when they're at a lower price.

Just a FYI if you go to the postal service website you can order stamps and it has a $ 1.00 shipping fee. I have purchased 10 rolls of stamps in the past and the shipping has always been $ 1.00. You cannot drive to the post office and get the stamps yourself for one dollar. My boss couldn't understand why I always ordered them on line until I told him the cost and he replied "you can't start the truck and drive there for one dollar".

The only time I really use stamps is when I'm sending stuff off to people. Thankfully I have a friend who is freaked out that I may run out of stamps so everytime he sends a holiday card, birthday card, or a package, he includes a bunch of stamps. I use up the regular stamps before I start in on the forever ones but I should be set for a few years I think lol.
