OK, I'MMA HAVE A FIT HERE..... i've spent hrs and hrs (24 so far)in the ER.. hrs and hrs (32)in surgery.. hrs and hrs in ICU. and I'm not getting anything i need I only have at a max maybe 2 weeks left and I'm so sick and tired of this..... I just want it to be over with. I swear I'm gonna have to kill someone. Start an IV, Intubate, it shouldn't be that freakin hard.. but heck no... can't get it.. can't get it can't get...


ok, if i don't kill someone before the the end of the month it'll all be ok......

and if i'm not in jail by then... I have to go to OKC on the 30th to test.... OMG i'm gonna go postal..

do we have anyone from okc on here??? if so would you like to have lunch with me???

i'm just sick of it... i go and i go, and then they end up having surgery's that require a local or a spinal, or just good drugs so they can send the scope down someones throat.. grrrrrr when i go to the er. the dr's won't order IV's.... or when i go to ICU they don't have any patients or just one... I'M SO MAD.. I HAVE TO HAVE THESE DONE AND SIGNED OFF BY THE 26TH.... I have 24 more hrs of ambulance clinicals i'm doing on the 26th so I'M DYING HERE. I've barely seen my son. I'm so exhausted. I wouldn't mind putting in the time if i could just get the competencies that i have to have

Welcome to medic school hell.. You will get them just remember you have freinds in the er they will call you for that tube or the IV. It will get done it just seems so overwhelming right now.

I suggest you find a friend who also needs to start an IV and start one on each other.
That was what we did in RN school. Other than that 1 IV, I didn't start another one until I was on the floor. Good luck! Can you tell your instuctor you have been in the right places and the opportunity hasn't come up and maybe he/she can help you get the opportunity. Good luck. I know how you feel.
