This girl worked on my wing in my team for about 3 yrs. I was the RN, had an LPN and this was my PCA. We have all been praying it would end better than this. It is so sad for me. I don't know why the picture won't transfer.

Diana Donahoo Rice of Shelby County had been reported missing by a relative on April 4th. Her body was found on April 7th in St. Clair County. A Shelby County woman reported missing on Saturday was found dead in St. Clair County on Tuesday.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office had been trying to locate 62-year-old Diana Donahoo Rice, who was last seen on April 3rd at her workplace in the 16,000 block of Highway 55 in eastern Shelby County.

Reports indicate that while searching a wooded area off of Camp Winnataska Road in St. Clair County, St. Clair County Sheriff Terry Surles discovered Ms. Rice’s body on Tuesday.

A person of interest has been identified in this case. 28-year-old Randy O'Neal Davidson, a suspect in a home invasion that occurred Monday on Coalburg Road in northern Jefferson County (click here to read more about that story), had been arrested that same day at a truck stop at 41st Avenue North in Birmingham and was in possession of Rice's vehicle.

Davidson is in the Shelby County Jail under a total of $200,000 in bonds.

This is what they have come up with. The same man who is accused of a home invasion went to the house where she was sitting with an elderly man. He knocked on the door and said his car had broken down. She went outside with him, evidently with her purse so intended to give him a ride. He took her to this secluded road where he strangled her. They had to do an autopsy to determine she was strangled because there were no marks or blood visible on her body. This is so sad to me. We all know not to do this but she was the type person to help anybody.
