My mom called

My sister lost the baby. She was 18 weeks in.

It had to have happened this week because she went to the doc last week and everything was fine. She went to have a 3 hour diabetes test and they were monitoring the baby and couldn't find a heart beat.. They tried several ways but couldn't find one.

They have to induce labor and she has to have a still born baby.. I cannot imagine how hard this is going to be for her. They will preform an autopsy to figure out what went wrong.

My mother isn't doing too hot with this news either.. *sigh


I was looking forward to being an aunt again..

Truely sorry for the loss of the little one.....I know exactly how she is feeling.....if she is for sure wanting to try for another little one...my obgyn said to go ahead and try as soon as you stopped bleeding because your body is still telling itself that your pregnant....it did happen to me so I know it does work....again sorry for the loss.

Wow this stuck me as all I can say is OMG I am not usally at a loss for words but I truely am. I am glad I didnt have your OBGYN. I am so sorry for your sisters loss and it is going to be hard being induced to deliver a stillborn baby I did it when I was 9 months and I put that right up there with one of the worst things I have been thru.

My only advise to you and your family is to be there and dont use the words I understand (unless you truely do) dont worry you can try for more and my favorite you will be fine really. :hug

OH WOW!! I'm so sorry!! I can't even begin to understand what she is going through and about to be going through!

My sister delivered the baby this morning.. It was a boy.

What happened was the cord wrapped around his torso and cut off blood supply. There was nothing that could be done. It was just one of those things that happen.

Other than that he was born perfect for a 4 and a half month old fetus.

They named him Trey Domenic.. I am not sure of the spelling but they picked that name because trey is 3 is some language and Domenic has something to do with God.
