I stopped watching it when they started having celebrities. I prefer watching regular people get their chance. I don't like the loud mouth celebrities who go on there trying to get some publicity. Most of them are dying stars trying to remain in the limelight.

Scott's EEE was so stupid. Even though I can't stand Tom, Scott lost the whole thing with that dumb decision. I loved it when he phoned the guys at the shop and told them that her name was EEE, and the girl held up her hands and said "eeeee!" That was so funny. And the guys ended up putting a Z on her anyway.

Rodman is actually a pretty smart guy, when you can understand whats coming out of his mouth, I think he mumbles too much., Didn't he win Celbrity Mole a few years back?
I was impressed by Khloe., but Jesse is the one I'm rooting for.

I knew as soon as Scott came up with that stupid name it would do him in. I don't like Tom either but he made some good points. I never thought there would be anyone who could talk more than Joan and Melissa but Annie does. I was disappointed that Melissa took credit for the idea when it was the gal from Deal or No Deals idea. I think Brande is really smart and not what you'd expect for being a Playmate(I think that is what it is called).

Did anyone watch this last night?
Am I the only one who thinks the women got screwed over?? I find it darn hard to believe that those executives for that phone company actually thought the mens presentation was better. The phone was barely mentioned or shown. It was nothing but a concert for Brian to promote his music. (just like Rodman said. lol). Brian sure thinks highly of himself too. I can't stand him OR his music. This is one woman who doesn't swoon over him. lol
I also can't believe Dennis is still on here. Is Trump freaking blind?? This man has done absolutely NOTHING. Not a damn thing and here it is going in to the 4th (or 5th?) week and he's still there!! His ass should have been THROWN OUT......not fired........THROWN OUT last night after his little childish tantrum with Clint.:getyou
Dennis Rodman has to be the biggest baby I have ever seen. He acts like a freaking child. I'm just shocked and amazed that he's still on here.
I think Trump should watch what has been recorded for the day, before he makes his final decision. I think he'd get a better idea of how people work if he actually SAW it, instead of going by what others say.
And weren't all the other woman as fed up and frustrated with Melissa as much as (I forgot her name) the Project Manager was? And then at the end they all changed their mind about Melissa and stabbed the P.M in the back? Or was that my imagination?
I couldn't stand Melissa last night. I just wanted to tell her to STFU!!:getyou
LOL.

I watched and I agree with "most" of what you said. I never have like Melissa she is a spoiled brat and is going to end up looking worse than her Mom and Pricilla Presley. What is it with all the Plastic Surgery on their faces?? Gosh when she told her Mom to say something and she did I just about lost it. I wanted to strangle both of them.
YES all the girls were pissed at Melissa too but I think they didn't say anything because of Joan honestly. They seem to respect her and maybe they think she will talk to much trash, who knows.
Rodman is an idiot and an ass. Yes he should be gone.
I like Clint and I hate that they haven't let him shine and have been downright rude to him.
The only things I disagree with are the women winning over the men. I like the mens presentation and remember they only show you parts of it, I think the Miltary aspect is what did it and it was a good idea.
I don't like Brians attitude but I do like his music.

You never know what they edit out of it, but it was just the men in the audience saying something about how great it was to see "hot women dancing with phones." Most of the audience did appear to be men. The men might have had some better stuff that was just edited out. There were several women that were making fun of Melissa. They've been complaining about her for a while now. They are just all afraid to say anything about it. I can't stand looking at either Melissa or Joan. It just gives me the creeps. And all that moves on Melissa is her mouth. None of her other facial features ever move. She must be botoxed up real good. I sure hope it doesn't end up with those two at the end. Dennis doesn't seem to want to do anything. I wish they would have gotten rid of him along with that awful comic.

03-23-2009, 10:42 PM
Also, what makes Clint Black think he is too good to make phone calls and such? Who else did he think would do it if he didn't? There was nobody else there except for him and Brian. I was just looking at some of the show again, and Claudia was more than polite to Melissa who was just acting like she was God's gift. I never saw Claudia act ugly to her like Melissa claimed at the meeting. And why couldn't Brian just let Dennis get the monitors for free? That was just stupid. He's another one who really thinks he's something. I couldn't understand most of the words he was singing. From what I could understand, the song didn't seem to be about the phone at all. In looking at the audience, there seemed to be only about 10% women (if that many). No wonder the guys won. I couldn't believe the women couldn't think of something having to do with the military. That's the first thing I thought of when they mentioned the video phone. And why use a baby? Oh my goodness, that would have driven me insane trying to get that baby to stop crying and take some steps. Go with a different idea for pete's sake.
dangerousfem
03-24-2009, 09:03 AM
I do think the military was an excellent idea... but other than that... it was just a concert.. and they did not deserve to win.... I liked Claudia... Melissa and Joan think they are the bomb... its sickening.

ITA w/ most of what is posted also.
first Melissa and Joan drive me bonkers. They looke like walking wax figures and are so over them selves b/c they are in the industry.
Clint was bugging me. Yes Brian didn't ask his openion on stuff about music but Brian has also been in the music busness for years and if there are only 2 people in the room some one has to make calles and it's not the PM's job.
Dennis acts like a 4 yr old. Poor me, no one likes me and are just picking on me so I am going to lay down under the bus befor they can put me there. The whole time he is just doing NOTHING but causing trouble.
This week looks intresting w/ them talking about his driking all the time.
I really want to see Jeesse James be a PM. He is so quiet on the show most of the time but has some really good creative idea.

FINALLY!!! Dennis is gone!!
Man, what a nut case he is. He better get some help, QUICK!!
I was shocked that the men scored so high...I really thought they blew it. Especially with the foolish way Dennis acted with that first guy, the one with the mohawk, when he said he was from Vancouver. Dennis started jumping up and down, yelling and getting all excited about the strippers.
And then he made some comment to those 2 woman about their asses, and how fine they looked. I would have kicked him out of the hotel. Man, what a loser.
Rolling my eyes at Melissa at the beginning of the show. Poor widdle baby didn't think it was fair that she had to clean up the hotel room...despite the fact that she was a MAID!! HELLO!!!???
I'd love to meet her and knock her down a few notches. :D

I was always a fan of Dennis Rodman. He does make a spectacle of himself but he always has. I knew he wouldn't get close to winning the show, because of the way he is. With Tom Greene & Dennis gone it is not going to be very entertaining for me. No one else has much of a personality.

They were telling in Star last week what a great stepmom she is to his kids and how much she loves them. I've always liked her but never really knew anything about him. After seeing him on the show I can see why she fell for him. He is a really nice guy. You could see the compassion in his eyes for Dennis.
I'm glad Dennis is gone. It was very sad seeing his drinking problem and how it effected him. I honestly think if he had stayed sober he could have done a good job.
I caught that about Melissa too thinking she was too good to clean rooms. 3lilpigs, I'd love to watch you knock her down those notches. :D I agree with whoever said if she wasn't Joan's daughter she'd be nothing. The sad part is a few years ago she looked normal but now she is looking like plastic too. I'd rather have a few wrinkles than look fake.

Clint is one of the good "ol" boys around here. We went to the same high school. Not at the same time, though. His family didn't live to far from our family. His wife Lisa went to school here, too.
Clint's school:

Lisa's School:

Both are really great people. I at least can say I knew Clint before he was famous. Clint's brother Brian still lives here as far as I know. Lisa's family I'm not sure. It's been a very long time since I've seen the families.
Anyway, glad Clint's still in it. I'm routing for him.
Dennis seriously I think needs to get some help. I like him, think he's fun. However, I think his drinking is getting in the way. I wish him the best. He's a great athlete.

I cannot believe that Trump didn't fire Clint. I cannot see Joan wanting to work with him next week. He just hijacked the whole project. He should have been fired for coming up with such a crude and ridiculous idea that had nothing to do with the product. And to fire the other poor girl instead of Melissa was just mean. I think he really is partial to Joan and Melissa, like they can do no wrong. And the reason he fired Bradford wasn't because he volunteered; it was because Bradford gave up his immunity so he fired him just to spite him, even though he was the best person on his team.

I have no problem with being aggressive to get the job done, but when you start screaming at people and threatening them, then thats a whole other story.:getyou (referring to those phone calls she made last week, and the way she treated that blonde girl for trying to get annies rivals to donate against her. She knows darn well she would have done the same thing had she thought of it first!)
So who is left now? Annie, Clint, Jessie, and that ding-bat playboy bunny? I can't remember if there's anyone else.
whatever

Okay. I changed my tune a LITTLE last night. Because I would have been pissed at the way annie and Brandi were shutting me out as well. NO I don't like Melissa. But I feel they intentionally set up her up. And have been doing it for the past few tasks to get rid of her. OR at the very least Annie has. And if I put myself in that position I would have been pissed. Not made a big ass scene and made myself look stupid. But Annie takes the cake. She is quite the 2 faced snot.
And Yes for Joan OMFG!!! You signed up for the show to help charity!! Not babysit your daughter!!! And vice versa.
My dh and I really think she will come back to SPITE Annie. And I really hope she does. Because at this point I'm not sure which one sickens me more. I don't like 2 facers. And at least with Joan she will tell you to your face. And I myself would much rather have that around me.
And for Jessie, boy do I feel for him!! He is the only one left I can tolerate at this point. The rest think they are GODS gift.

Yes, that's it, unless Joan shows back up. According to the preview, she doesn't show up for the discussion of the next job. But she might show up later, who knows. The bunny's name is Brandy. Brandy the Bunny. LOL.

That just made me think that she'll wait until the next to last episode and come back, and go up against Annie. She'll pull out all the stops, and raise a HUGE amount of money! lol. After all, she wasn't fired....so technically I guess she COULD come back. And do you think Donald will say no? Course not! Ratings booster!!

OK I disaree with most of you. I LOVE Annie and to me she is playing this exactly right. They are there to raise money for charity..period. She is a HUGE money raiser and has a lot of the same traits as most in big business.
I think shows like this put a lot of "show business" people on who have failing careers in hopes of boosting it...sorry for Joan and Melissa that certainly didn't happen.
As for Jesse..he is a LOSER! He pissed me off when all he did was slam Clint and then after he WON it BY HIMSELF he gets all nicey nicey. I would have decked him but Clint always tried to be a gentleman. Jesse was as bad as Joan and Melissa. I am not saying I like Clint particularly (weird freaking eyebrows) but he did good last night.
I think Annie will win it.

Yes, she is a huge money raiser,I can give her credit for that, but that doesn't mean she has to scream at people and threaten them to get them to donate.
If I were in charge of a charity of hers, I'd be embarassed that she is going about it that way.I'd feel like people were bullied into making donations...... and it shouldn't be done that way.

while watching the episode end w/ Melissa's tantrum DH just said that she acted like a "child star", I hope that Joan come back just so Donald tells her she is fired b/c she can't "quit" and change her mind. Their attachment is just too much for me.
I was surprised at Jesse last episode. I still like him but I guess he was just fed up w/ Clint.
As for Annie I told DH that Annie knows how to set herself up right. She will work it so if they loose it's not her fault but if they win she takes credit for it.

Celebrity Apprentice' rehired by NBC next season
By FRAZIER MOORE, AP Television Writer Frazier Moore, Ap Television Writer 23 mins ago
NEW YORK – NBC says Donald Trump will be firing more stars next year when "Celebrity Apprentice" returns for another round.
The network is announcing a ninth season for the reality series, scheduled to air in Spring 2010. That's when 16 new celebrities will meet and compete in business-oriented challenges. All but one of the rivals will hear mogul Trump tell them, "You're fired!"
The news of more "Celebrity Apprentice" arrives as the current season heads into its home stretch. That finale will air May 10. Clint Black, Annie Duke, Jesse James, Brande (BRAND-ee) Roderick and Joan Rivers are the remaining contenders.

I just went to Ellen's website and found that Joan and Melissa will be on her show Thursday (today).
One of the most dramatic moments of this season's "Celebrity Apprentice" occurred this past Sunday night when Melissa Rivers was fired by Donald Trump. She didn't take it too well and neither did her mother Joan -- to say the least! Tune in Thursday to hear their firsthand accounts of what went wrong -- and learn how they really feel about Annie Duke and the rest of the contestants!

I saw it. Melissa basically said oh well I had 3 minutes of blowing off steam that I never go to do in high school. Yah right...lol She tried to say a lot more goes on that we don't see.
Joan was asked if she really hated poker players and of course she had to say OHHHHHH NOOOOOOOO of course not I work in Vegas, they bought me this and she shows off a red jacket. Really lame and it was a pathetic attempt to gain back some credibility that didn't work..lol.
They did say that the 2 girls (Annie and Brande) would snicker and talk and then the camera would show them all smiles and coyness, that I believe! Its all TV.
Oh they also asked if she goes back and even thoigh she couldn't say she inferred that she does not.

I wasn't surprised at all. I kinda had a feeling it would come down to the 2 of them.
I only saw the 2nd hour........when did Clint get fired?
I sure wish people would lay off the fact that Jessie is married to Sandra Bullock. I applaud him for not asking her or HER ''rich'' friends for money. Like he's said in the beginning of the show, those are HER friends and he wasn't going to hit them up. None of the other celebs were criticized for not asking their spouses for money.
Obviously he did SOMETHING right for him to get as far as he did and not make a whole lot of money.
Looks like next week, Annie has Dennis on her team. That should be a real winning team. (rolls eyes).
I gotta go with Joan though. I'm sick of hearing how damn perfect Annie is and how much money she has brought to the table. I hope she loses and I hope she loses BIG.

In the first hour they had to do a jingle and a 30 second radio spot for "Chicken of the Sea" tuna, I think it was for them, the tuna with the mermaid. Annie and Brande did not feel they would do good at all because of Clint and his musical background. Clint messed up because he did it himself in a western type, very good and very nice but the people from the fish company did not think it would play well all over the country. That is why he, as project head got fired. Then they had Piers interview the last four and tell Trump who he thought would be the best. Now who woulda thunk that it would end up with Annie and Joan. You coulda colored me surprised--NOT--. I do have to commend Jesse for not bringing his wife into it. Was it last season or the season before that they had a playboy bunny on and Trump jumped her for not hitting up Hugh Hefner for $$ for charity. I think she said something about wanting to ask him later in the season. I think the only reason they asked Jesse was because of his wife, but Jesse outsmarted them. Seems like he takes his job and marriage seriously and using his wife and her friends just was not who he is.

Trace Adkins Will Appear on Celebrity Apprentice Finale
May 5, 2009
Trace Adkins will make a special guest appearance in the three-hour season finale of NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday (May 10). Adkins finished second in the series in 2008. He will discuss this season's finalists with Donald Trump and reigning champion Piers Morgan, as well as give his input about who should win. This season's other contestants, including Clint Black, will also return for the finale, which will determine whether comedian Joan Rivers or poker player Annie Duke will be crowned the ultimate apprentice.

Joan has ....
Melissa (was there any doubt? lol)
Clint
and the football player. Can't remember his name.
Annie has....
Tom Greene
Brandy
Dennis
If I was going to judge this just by the teams.......I'd go with Joan! lol
I don't get why Annie picked Dennis or Tom. We all know Dennis does NOTHING, and Tom was so far back in the beginning of the show, you really don't know how well he worked.
I read this off one of the blogs on the Apprentice website......
'' I am beyond excited that it is between Joan and Annie. How great to see two formidable women going for gold. It is a true horse race. I believe Joan will bring out all her tricks and will do her best to beat Annie. The more I observe Joan the more I think she has been playing poker with Annie. I think she will surprise us all. Annie could win easily unless she gets cocky and underestimates her opponent.''

I don't think I could take one more minute of Annie and her 'me, me me' and blaming Joan for the designer quitting. I think that was the only time during the whole series that she didn't take credit for something.LOL.
I thought it was very unprofessional for them to quit Annie's team just because he couldn't handle Joans job. I'm sure they'll lose business if people find out who they are.
And I liked Joans auction setting much better than Annies. I didn't really see anything about Kodak mentioned with Annie. Loved the idea of walking through a frame. (Joan)

Well I was hoping Annie would win so naturally Joan did. But in my opinion Joan was really unprofessional calling Annies friends mafia just because they gamble. And that designer did quit because of Joan. And I don't understand the kodak guy saying he liked Joans setup better because when he was walking through Annies room he said he liked hers better. Said he liked the way she put her charity in their virtual frames.

maybe I misunderstood something with all the phone calls and arguing going on at the beginning, but I thought that 'event guy' quit because Joan wanted him to work with someone else. He just wasn't getting the job done. She's the client...if you can't work with who the client wants you to work with, then you're in the wrong business. lol
The Kodak guy said he liked Annies idea, but I don't recall him saying he liked it better.
As for Joans comments being unprofessional....yeah, they were. But towards the end, the REAL Annie was starting to show too. A few more shows and the comments would have been flying from her too.
I consider it even.....Joans comments = Annie's yelling, bossiness, rudeness, and threats. lol
Maybe next year they bring back Joan and Piers and have them team up against each other.
OH,and I loved the look on Annies face at the very end...she thought she was gonna win. She started to get excited until he said ' YOU'RE FIRED!' lol

I had a feeling from the beginning that, no matter what, he was going to choose Joan as the winner. Why anybody would want her working for them is beyond me. Both Joan and Melissa were so unprofessional in the board room. Joan caused someone to quit on her. How would Donald actually like that if she did that to someone extremely important?! Annie never called Joan names to her face. I thought it was ridiculous that Donald told Jesse that it "wasn't nice" to call Dennis "stupid" but somehow considers it OK for Joan to call someone a "b*tch," "whore pit viper," "worse than Hitler," and "mafia." He wouldn't let Annie talk, seemed not to believe her at all concerning the event planner quitting. All he did was let Joan talk. I liked Annie's event better, and she did raise more money(three times as much just at the event alone), so people must have liked her auctions better. Her event looked so much classier than Joan's with her tacky feather boas draped around the tables and her celebrity impersonators (who didn't even look like the celebrities and couldn't act worth a hoot) whereas Annie had actual celebrities. I would think people would be more impressed at meeting Joe Frazier and Oxana Bauil than Kyle Maclachlan and the tacky Kathy Griffin. It would figure that one potty mouth would be friends with another. I didn't have much respect for Joan or Melissa Rivers before and have absolutely none now. And none for Donald Trump either for hiring Joan. She is just trash. Even the clothes she and Melissa were wearing looked tacky. That woman has no class whatsoever. Though, I think I have said that before.

Granted I don't care for Joan and Melissa much as a person but I thought they did a great job. As for the "Kodak Moments" I thought that was pretty clever.
David (the event planner for Joan) I thought was trying to be cooperative. He's done a lot of events and did host his own show for awhile. Might still be on I'm not sure.
Anyway, glad that Joan won. Either was money was going for great causes.

I think Annie deserved to win over Joan by a long shot. Joan and Melissa acted like spoiled brats when Melissa got fired. No matter the task, Annie always got it done. I don't think it was her fault. She wanted something done a certain way, and she was paying for it, and it should have been done her way. He was HIRED to do a job. His ideas were blah. She wanted him to work with someone else to help him...and he got insulted...and he acted like a big baby and quit.
Imagine the extra publicity he would have got, if he had worked with someone and created something spectacular. Instead, if people find out who he is, he'll be known as the ''sissy who quit.''
And just because he quit Joans team, was absolutely no reason to quit Annies. Thats just childish.
Now if Joan had gone on a rampage and fired him, then I could see him wanting to quit.
But why pay for something if it's not what you want, and you aren't going to like it? I don't know anyone who would do that.

My dh and I almost fell out of our chair. LMAO!!!!
I am glad Joan won. Its for charity and Annie was all about Annie. She just wanted to win. It became about her. She just USED charity as an excuse to milk money from people to win. Joan whole heartly cares about her charity and wants the money for them. Theres the difference in the REAL values. And to me thats what makes the person.
I completely agree!!! I also like the fact that Joan's charity addressed problems in THIS country. Why go around the world when you can look out your front door and see need?
I don't think it was her fault. She wanted something done a certain way, and she was paying for it, and it should have been done her way. He was HIRED to do a job. His ideas were blah. She wanted him to work with someone else to help him...and he got insulted...and he acted like a big baby and quit.
Imagine the extra publicity he would have got, if he had worked with someone and created something spectacular. Instead, if people find out who he is, he'll be known as the ''sissy who quit.''

You're absolutely right. Joan was not rude, she just wanted one of her people to work on it with him because she didn't know exactly what she wanted but she knew his idea was just bleh. Like Melissa said, Joan's people understand where's she coming from and can help her visualize a concept. The guy was a big baby and there was no reason for him to back out of Annie's plan...like you said, he could have done a great job for her that would have made Joan look bad for not going with his idea. Completely NOT Joan's fault.
They both talked crap about each other, but Annie did it subvertively, while Joan just put it out there. Personally, stab me in the eye, not the back. At least that way I can see it coming.

I kind of agree with what you are saying, BUT Joan should also understand that in the amount of time given, they are not miracle workers. They were assigned that company as part of the parameters for that assignment, she should have made it work. Joan never came out and gave him specific instruction, all she ever said was, "oh that color? not exciting!" But she never followed up with a suggestion. I felt that she talked down to the guy constantly. However, she was the client and he should have been willing to work with someone if that is what she wanted.
That said, it was a piss poor reason for them to quit working for Annie for sure.

Yep.
But despite him quitting, they both pulled it off and did a great job.:star: (although I liked Joan's better. lol)

I don't care for Joan Rivers much anymore. However, I'm glad she won. Melissa I thought was a riot.
Annie I think didn't deserve to win. Barking at everyone, about everything.
David Tutera http://www.davidtutera.com/ the party planner I couldn't stand him either. I think he and Annie would make the perfect couple. I would of loved to see them get into an argument.
David wanted it his way and Joan wanted hers. I think by her "vision" for the client it helped her win. Sorry David. I thought he was being selfish and poor judgement. He's already made himself into something. Wouldn't he like to further his career? I think now he'll be known as the decorator that walked off a great charity event. Wonder how much he was paid for making an appearance?
I can see Donald Trump telling David he's fired for not seeing Trump's business adventures the way Donald does. If that were to happen NO ONE would be saying a word. Not always but Donald comes across hard, demanding, brash. I think that's the way Joan is and it gets her somewhere.

Wow....it's getting uglier. Here's what David Tutera has on his website:
"David Tutera was asked to be a part of The Celebrity Apprentice season finale by the show's producer. As a celebrity event planner and designer for over twenty years, David was happy to assist Joan Rivers and Annie Duke in throwing a party as their final challenge. The name nor mission of the charity organization were disclosed, despite numerous requests by David and it quickly became evident that Joan cared more about integrating the corporate sponsors into the event than benefitting the actual charity.
As a true philanthropist, David Tutera believes in giving back and works tirelessly with Prevent Cancer Foundation, The Alzheimer's Associciation and GLSEN: Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. Joan Rivers' unprofessional actions and attempts at creating false drama were unexpected and offensive. Rather than respond to Joan's personal attack and participate in an event where the true focus was clearly forgotten, David graciously stepped away from the situation."
Hmmm....I don't think that not even answering a call from Annie Duke or contacting her to let her know he was quitting could even remotely be considered "gracious". Also, I find it hard to believe that Joan didn't talk about her charity....she was on QVC last night selling her "Boardroom Jewelry" and the name of her charity came up several times.
Sounds more like he is doing damage control to me.

it quickly became evident that Joan cared more about integrating the corporate sponsors into the event than benefitting the actual charity.
The task, according to Donald at the beginning of the show, was to promote KODAK and CIRQUE DE SOLEIL, and to help raise money for their charity. The charity wasn't to be promoted as much as the sponsors.
Which is what both teams did.

I hate to say it, but Annie would have won if Joan wouldn't have "upset" the planner., which is not to say it was Joans fault, it was not Joans fault that this guy is unprofessional!
I think Annies design was better, if it had been completed properly, to the original vision that she had with planner.
If she would have won for design, she would have won 3 outta 5.
As much as I dislike Annie, as a person, ME ME ME ME I I I I,. I would have hired her over Joan., Joan acted unprofessional, ... business is business. Like Trump said Annies as calm as a cucumber... thats the way you have to be in business....
anyway., great season.. Too bad Jesse didn't get a chance to compete in the final.
High hopes for next year... can't wait to hear who the contestants will be!

I agree.. Annies original design sounded great... and had Joan not ruined the working relationship with the design company (and I agree it was wrong of David to pull out completely) then I think Annie would have pulled it out.
