My question has always been why? Why would anyone want to grow their nails that long? After they get a certain length, they are no longer attractive and they become a pain to have to deal with and work around. I just don't get it.

I have a friend who insists on having hers really long (not as long as what's pictured) and it just grosses me out. Of course her reasoning is that the longer the nails (and the hair), the more men who will want to have sex with her.

I have always had long nails. When I was in high school and took typing the teacher told me I couldn't type with nails lol. I've been typing ever since!
I have to keep mine trimmed. After a certain length they begin to hurt.
One time a girlfriend needed someone to get fake nails. She was in classes for hair and nails. I volunteered. She gave me really long nails. Of course she got an A for a grade, but as soon as I got home I soaked them so I could get them off. I don't know how anyone could have them that length!

I seen her at a bowling ally in our area a few years back. When she was sitting on the chair her nails touched the floor it was not Hot at all.

My nails are nowhere near that long. After awhile of growing out they do start to hurt, pull away from your skin. I think I've seen this woman on T.V. before...Maury or Montel I think??? Has to cost a small fortune in polish just to get color on them.

To each his/her own I guess. I couldn't live with nails that long. Went yesterday and had a small amt....cut off. They were driving me crazing getting caught on everything.

I have long nails...but not that long...about a half inch past the end of my finger. I can type like gangbusters. They do make a clicking sound when I am typing fast...but my nails don't stop me at all. This woman's nails were just gross.
