I filed my tax returns, i was so estatic.. i really need this money and its like my best tax return ever... well guess what.. I leave a number out of my bank account number. usually it transfers from last year but for some reason this year it didn't.. so now i've spent countless hrs on hold trying to get it straightened out.. now i have to wait on paper checks.. OMG I REALLY DIDN'T NEED THIS RIGHT NOW... BUT... i reckon i'll have to pay the price for my own stupidity.

I'm so sorry.. I know how frustrating that is.... on the plus side.. it looks like they are moving pretty fast this season.. so the paper check shouldn't be a week or 2 longer than your dd would have been... although I know when you need it now... 2 weeks can seem like 2 months.

Oh I am so sorry for you I know it gets frustrating but be thankful we are filing this year with a new out look we get our return cuz we finally got caught up on back child support and now it won't hurt so bad yeah she is a B*tch from haydes but at least we get one so I am happy

DangerousFem, thanks for the link. It never lets me e-file so I have to mail it in and then wait...ugh...but it's nice to see when I would've gotten it if it would've let me e-file.

I did the something similar a few years back. I filled online at the end of January in 07' and typed in one wrong number for my daughter's SSN. I had to refile and show proof of the mistake along with a copy of her SS Card, had to mail it all in to the IRS and didn't get my return until late August of 07'!! It SUCKED.

If it makes you feel any better I know a couple who let their son do their taxes last year and he transposed two of the numbers and their return got deposited in SOMEONE else's banking account. I'm sure it was a mess to deal with.

You can go to the unemployment site to get it. Go to where you can see your payments. You will see 1099 on one of the lines. Just click on it and you will see your 1099, you can print it out. I know Ohio's was posted on about the 20th. I've filed several aready doing this.

I did that last year. It took 2 and a half months to get my refund. I had to wait for the bank to send them the money back (that took a wek and a half) and then after they got the money they sent a check. I hope things move faster for you

Go to irs.gov and click free file. It gives you a list of who does it free and the qualifications you have to meet. Some even do your state for free. But again, you have to meet the qualifications. I've done 2 people's taxes this year. Both made less than $30,000 and got both federal and state for nothing. Did them at turbo tax.

I e-filed this past weekend.
They said about 8 days for refund if dd and 2 weeks to get paper check if you didn't give correct numbers of bank account.
I know that doesn't help when you need that money now but it does look like it's all moving pretty fast right now. It's only a week longer.

i transposed 2 of my account numbers, i didnt catch it in time for them to fix mine either...irs lady said 2-4 weeks for the money to bounce back to them then another 2-4 weeks for them to mail the check.......i REALLY hope it doesnt take that long, i borrown 2 grand from my mom for a truck with the understanding she would be paid back TODAY <sigh>
