On May 20, 2008 I bought a new Emerson Professional Micowave well 3 days ago it quit.
I have tried to call the 800 number but all get is recording and after 2 days of holding for over 30 minutes each am saying they don't answer their phone.
So is there still a site you can post how you feel about a product.
I think it should have lasted at least a year.
I couldn't find on their site any place to send a email.
Thank you for your help.

you can complain to the company at planetfeedback.com you can write a review at virtually any site that sells it, ie amazon, target, walmart, best buy, etc. If you do a google search lots of sites will pop up. hth

If you still have the receipt from where you bought it sometimes they will honor the 1 year warranty. alot of times it says so on the receipts. It just depends on the store etc. Have you found anything online from emerson? You should be able to contact online as well. Either way good luck to you.

It should have lasted a lot longer than a year I would hope! We once had a microwave for 6 years. It was well loved and still worked when we got rid of it, actually.

I googled and this is the only Emerson site I can find.
Here is their support information which is addresses and 1-800 number at the top, also there are links at the top for contact info which is to fill in a form and submit it. Hope this helps you out some.

hey mine quit about three days ago too - stopped right in the middle of a cycle - too my tea out to drink and it was still cold. don't remember when I bought it - less than a year I think - guess I will avoid emerson brand from now on

Yep, I've had an Emerson microwave for less than a year and it's been acting up on me. It'll keep running after it beeps to let me know the food is finished cooking. I can't find the receipt, and I can't afford another microwave right now, so I just unplug it between uses. I just have to make sure that I listen for the beep, otherwise my food will be overcooked.

I did a search on Amazon after this started happening and found that Emerson microwaves have an extremely bad track record. If you have an account on Amazon, see if they sell your microwave. You can probably at least post a review of your product.

You know I just realized this morning thats the brand my MIL had and she just had to replace hers! She only had hers for a year so also. I thought it was because she never cleans hers.lol
Again I would try to find the receipt. Alot of stores will honor the 1 year warranty. However I know there are a few that say something like 90 days on it. I think that might be like target however. This is a reason I keep receipts.

good idea- thx! was sorta looking to buy another from amazon being out of work - still have a $100 balance there from a survey last year and cannot find anything ekse there I need. working on need only buys now. lol seems like nothing ever broke down while I was working and all my appliances are over 30 years old - originals came with my second hand cheap condo - dishwasher broke on day after I was let go a month after that my dsl lines "died", i switched to free dialup and my power cord died, i got a new power cord and my laptop monitor died and is not reparable. tg for the library.

Thanks for all who answered. Guess it is a bad product for everyone. Maybe there will be a recall if enough people complain. For me the local store will not take it as have had over 90 days. :(
