SALEM, Ore. -- A mother accused of causing her 2-month-old son's death said she wants to take responsibility for her actions, according to court documents.

The documents released Tuesday outlined the case against Carrie Noe, 19, who was arrested Friday after paramedics responded to a 911 call to find her son, Ian Noe, dead.

Police still haven't released the results of the autopsy performed on Ian, but according to court documents, Carrie Noe was trying to paint in another room and became frustrated when her son wouldn't stop crying.

She said she picked Ian up out of his crib and put him back down "not lightly," and then picked him up again and shook him three times with her arms extended and placed him back in the crib, according to the documents. She told police that she noticed the child became limp and his breathing changed when she put him down.

According to the documents, she left the room and didn't call medics or check on Ian again until her husband got home. She told officers that she realized her actions caused the child's death and wants to take responsibility for her actions.

When paramedics arrived they tried to revive the infant, but he was already dead, police said.

I just don't understand. I've had kids, I've even had one who cried almost non-stop for the first year of her life, and yeah I've gotten frustrated but I could never hurt one of them. How could someone take such an innocent, sweet little baby and shake them like that?

Someone needs to make both parents sit through tapes of what shaking can do to a baby while they're pregnant. That way no one can say after that that they didn't know and maybe a babies life will be saved because of it. And make it mandatory to have to take parenting classes before they have the baby.

I don't understand it either...and I'm not a mother. However, she is very young. At that age you still don't understand your temper or how to control it. It's a sad situation.....jmo.

Oh bull crap and Im sorry but Im not going to let anyone use that "but she's young" bull because there are plenty of young mothers out there before and right now who DO KNOW BETTER and get frustrated and do the right thing.

She didnt want to control herself. Plain and Simple. Now a sweet baby is dead because of it.

Im just shocked that she came forward about it.

When my daughter had her baby before she left the hospital she had to watch a video on shaken babies. All the women had to watch before they were released.

BS. I was a wild teen and had my son at 16. I have a temper from hell too. I have never once thought of shaking either of my babies.

It doesn't make it right but I do give her credit for coming forward. I don't understand how anyone could kill another period let alone a child. And she should go to jail for a very long time. She must pay for what she did, and at least she knows she was wrong. Maybe this case will not take years and millions of dollars. You hardly ever hear of someone actually admitting guilt.

I never said killing the child was "right or ok"....all I meant was we do things when we're young that we regret later in life.
