My dd started her first period the 13th of this month and then was off 17th. Today she started again is that normal? I can not remember as I have not had one in 4 years and it was a very long time ago when I started my first one LOL.

Very normal. It is very common in the beginning(even for a couple of years,I think)to have no particular "time of the month".

I got mine when I was 10. I was never regular until I went on the pill at 19. When I got off the pill 3 years later. My periods were regular and normal.

I so missed having a girl. Hope I get a granddaughter and I'm around for her journey into womanhood. We will have such a special day!

Heck Im 21 and mine STILL arent regular LOL but Im going on the pill shortly so no more of that(hopefully)

But yes very normal Im sure it sucks for her and she wants to die lol but its normal. If it really bothers her after awhile you can put her on the pill to try and even it out

Thanks everyone I thought it was but you are right it has to suck 5 days later starting again. It will be a while before she can go on the pill I think she is only 12

my gd started her cycle in June, she will be 12,she has had 1 every month, with the last 2 not exactly on time, instead of the 11th of the month, she the last 2 months has been on the 18 and 19th. She goes for 5 days exactly.

Yep, completely normal. My 14-year-old got her first period at age 11, and it still fluctuates on when she gets it. She sometimes does get it twice a month.

You don't have to be a certain age to go on the pill. My niece had a lot of trouble with her periods when she was younger. Her doctor suggested to my sister in law that they put her on the pill so they did and it helped a lot. I think she was around 12 when they did it.

I would wait til maybe next year to put her on the pill. That will give her more time to let her hormones level out. Right now they are just wacky.

oh yes..very normal when they first start...dd started l last yr and boy for 6 months it was awful...she even went for 21 days at a time and then wait 2 weeks and start again....so glad she staightened up after 6 months...and alot of prayers..lol...but I was thinking about doing the pill if she did not straighten up just so she could a normal period.

Good luck to her now

My little sister's was like that until she went on the pill at 16 to regulate her periods.
