Please help settle a disagreement. Did the joker (don't remeber his name) commit suicide or did he die of drugs? The real life actor? Did he finish the movie before he died?

He had completed the movie, but, had not seen the final cut. He had only seen bits and pieces, and some trailers.

He did an awesome job... too bad he didn't get to see all the movie hype.

I wasn't 100% sure about that myself, so, I googled it... yeah, the movie was finished. He just never saw the final, complete movie.

We saw it at a Drive-In... t'was awesome ! Not the movie as a whole, but, just waiting scene to scene to see what Ledger's next scene was gonna be about ! He rocked in this movie !

Heath was in the process of filming the new Terry Gilliam film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" , when he passed away.

His death was due to an accidental mixture of prescription drugs, New York City's Chief Medical Examiner has concluded.
"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Diazepam, Temazepam, Alprazolam, and Doxylamine" .

Currently his insurance company is fighting the cause of death saying it was a suicide so they don't have to pay out the $10million to his daughter.
