5.25 for gas

Oh my gosh gas has jumped up to 5.25 here in Michigan. Not all places but HOW can they do this to our country. They are driving us into the ground. Can I afford it -yes but it cuts down on other things and I feel so bad for those that are barely getting by as it is.
Come on what are we suppose to do. I know it has to do with the hurricans but will it go down when things get straighened out?

I live in Genesee County and it hasnt gone up yet, but its expected too......................My mom is in Texas, did not evacuate because she is only suppose to get rain and horrible winds, but all the stores and gas stations are closed down there.

There was a line waiting for gas the whole time we were there. It was $3.89 but expected to go way up. from 3.37 to 5.17 for n/l reg. the baton rouge refinery still doesn't have power yet. houston refineries is some of our biggest suppliers. they supposedly shut down yesterday. here in mississippi we can't hardly get gas or diesel to take to the stores. we've just about about run collins, meridian, vicksburg, pascagoula, and greenville miss. terminals dry trying to supply the stores.

When I went by the gas station yesterday, it was only 1.69. Hopefully it will continue to drop. I only get gas every 2 weeks, so I am riding around on 1.99 gas right this minute. It always drops after I get gas. Glad gas is back down. The best thing from the crisis was that no one will ever underestimate the value of good gas mileage ever again, even with bigger cars. The Volkswagen Routan minivan gets the same MPG that my sedan gets. Things are getting better..
