I have 3 girls.
One in the 8th grade, 2 in the 6th. 2 different schools, but the same school district.
I get 3 notes brought home last Friday telling about the open house and meet the teacher night. All at the EXACT same times! my two 6th graders have only one class together, so there are 11 teachers just between the two of them. WHY would a district have a BTS night at all of their schools at the same time?

That is crazy. Here our schools have them on different days. This year the high school was on monday, middle school on tuesday, elementary on wed. then we started school on thursday.

Get out your cloning machine so you can be in all the places at once. That is just insane even if you had 2 kids in 2 diff grades you still couldnt do it. The schools just seem more and more messed up as we go along.

They did the same thing here to me. DS had BTS night from 5-7 DD had a meeting with the new band director from 6-7 and DS had football practice between6-8 and DD had softball practice from 4-6:30. So if you all find that cloning machine would you consider letting me use it. ;)

Our district has them all on different nights and times for just that reason. Is there any way their father could go to the one school and you to the other?
If not, depending on who needs to be kept up on, I would suggest going to one and contacting the teachers of the other. For instance, if your 8th grader needs constant attention to get things done, go to hers, and contact the other girls' teachers and meet with them later. Or if the 6th graders need more attention, then do the opposite.
When mine were in middle/high school, I went to one and DH to the other.

They want to get you ready for when kids are in high school and doing ALL the different activities-so you can go to the drama play, soccer game and debate all at the same time!

You are a mom. It is your responsibility to be at both places at the same time, preferably in different outfits in case you see some of the same people at both places. Oh yeah, and be able to jump tall building in a single leap, too. (cue SuperMom music now)
