Some friends of mine wanted me to go to the fair rides with them last night. A town 30 miles away always has some great rides and they wanted me to go. Found out they wanted me to go so they could laugh at me and for weight for a ride that goes faster if you have more weight........lol

I don't particularly like fair rides because they are put up and taken down so quick but I do like going on rides at places like Six Flags and amusement parks where the rides stay up permanently. Have fun if you go. lol

Ugh, I hate fair rides...must be my old age cuz I used to love them. I have been on one of the rides when it had an "issue" and was stuck up in the air for over an hour..that was not fun.

I used to love the Tilt-A-Whirl, bumper cars, fun house but that was about it. I'd rather eat the greasy fries and cotton candy from the machine fresh. At my antique age I no longer like any of the rides or the midway, fairs in general. My grandkidlettes bring me some cotton candy in a bag and a funnel cake. YaI know, I'm an old fuddy duddy.

this is also my thinking. LOL

only the cure is Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio or Kings Island in Mason, Ohio.

My fear is that someone will miss that one screw not tightened properly, or strip a screw, and it will all come undone while I am on it.

We will ride the Ferris Wheel and the Scrambler and that is it. Some of those rides look down right dangerous to me.

We usually go to the county fair every year but this year we didn't due to us not being able to take the hot weather like we used too. Our county fair has gotten smaller and smaller in recent years. I think it will be at least moved to a different area or maybe discontinued altogether.

You know, it's sad to see the way it has went downhill. We have lots of good memories of it when it was a bigger event.

This is me too.I must admit that every time I go on a roller coaster or something like that,There is always a moment when I really think I am going to die and wish I never got on.

I have never cared for carnival rides. I am a big chicken!

I work at our local fair and after hearing what is said on the radios, I won't let my kids on them either.

I will ride anything...lol. For some reason I don't have that fear of dying. My fear is waiting in a longggg line and the ride being boring...haha. Now I will say I don't care for the rides that hurt me. I hate a ride that beats yah around, that is not fun at all. But yes I ride snap together rides.

I LOVE Kings Island and Cedar Point!!!

I ride em but I personally think its over priced. I mean the rides dont last that long and they suck compared to rides in parks that stay up all the time. I do like the Scrambler, Tilt A Whirl, Bumper Cars, and a ride called the Himalayan if anyone knows that one. Im not much for rides that go upside down and sideways lol Even the Pirate Ship(NOT the one that goes upside down the other one) freaks me out but I like riding it with my eyes closed not cause im scared but it feels wonderful kinda like floating in the air

I know what the Himalayan is. I've also heard it called the music express. I like that one too. We went on one last year when we went to Hershey Park but it didn't go backwards. It only went forwards. When it slowed down I thought it was going to start going backwards but it came to a full stop and people started getting out. lol
