Ugh I am so annoyed. I went to regester my daughter today and the told me she may have to go to a different school because the classes are so full. The school is NEXT TO MY HOUSE. So, they want to send a bus and bring her to a different school. I am so pissed.
Then the results came back from when she did some testing and they want her to SKIP and go straight to 1st grade. WTF.
I am annoyed right now.

I think it is a nice idea that your daughter could skip, but it sounds like a hasty decision to me. It is difficult being the youngest in the class...not that she isn't smart enough. I don't know your DD, but if I were you, I would go to the superintendent for a meeting regarding this situation. That is completely bizarre....and wrong.

I homeschooled my DD in kindergarten and when she tested to go to the charter school the next year, we discussed her going into 2nd grade, instead of 1st. We decided that she needed the social interaction of the children closer to her age and put her in 1st grade instead. I think that's something that needs to be discussed with everyone involved.
