do you stock up on pop?

Okay here is my story. We have quite a stockpile on pop (or soda if you prefer that term?)
But here is my reasoning. at the stores around here REG price is like 6.99 to 7.99 for a case - 3.99 to 4.99 for 12pk
so when they run them 5 for $10 i buy! Or $4.49 a case, or Very rarely $4 a case!!
I myself dont drink ALOT of pop. About 1 or 2 cans per day. or 1 24 oz bottle.
My dh drinks quite a bit Mt dew.
We already had a decent stockpile when they ran a sale this week for $4.49 a case (you had to buy 3) plus i still had some of the man. coupons for doing the upc's etc. We did not NEED any more, but i could NOT pass up that sale. when they are not running sales very much lately. And even my dh doesn't drink alot of pop when its hot. so is it wrong do you think. I figure it keeps. they are good till jan 15th. Plus cans are good like up to 4 months after date if unopened. I think that's what my brother (who works for pepsi) said.

Nope rarely buy/drink the stuff. I bought 4 12 packs in June when it was on sale and we still have 2 left. When that is gone it'll probably be a while before I buy more.

sometimes we do. Right now pop is if you buy any Pepsi 2 12-packs, you get 2 12-packs free plus 1 12-pack 12 oz of Mt. Dew or 1 6-pack 24 oz of Mt. Dew. We almost always have Sierra Mist/Sprite and Rootbeer on hand though

I always stock up when there is a sale on pop. I do for other things that last as well non foof and food. Has always worked out well for me.

We don't drink soda.. However Shaw's had a coupon for buy 10/$10 of Vitamin Water or Powerade get 5 free. Needless to say I am going back tomorrow with another coupon..

I do if it goes on sale close to when we are going to have a party or people over. I dont drink any pop and my DH and DS dont drink much-like maybe a can or 2 a day at the most.

Yes, I stock up big time when it is on sale. We go through a lot of pop. I have to have my diet coke. :D Thanks for the heads up about it staying good for a few months after the expiration date.

My husband goes through Coke like his life depends on it, but it seems to never be on sale when I'm doing my shopping anymore (I don't go very often). I don't really allow my kids to drink a lot of soda, so there's really no reason for me to stock up on it, but I'll buy whatever happens to be on sale for them (their big thing is root beer and there's almost always some kind on sale).

right now I have five cases of water and two cases of diet pepsi, I like to keep lots of water around during hurricane season and a well stocked pantry

I just recently stopped drinking diet soda..I really didn't feel comfortable drinking it because of the artificial sweeteners. So now it's basically just water and occassionally milk for me.

No. We do not drink soda at all. The carbonation is really bad for the knees and joints.
We drink teas and coffee (all decaf)

I definitely stock up. I'm a Diet Coke addict so I always have to have plenty in stock. Just a note about the expiration date. I don't think the caffeine free stuff lasts as long. I know I can drink the regular Diet Coke for three months after the exp date and it tastes fine.

There's always enough soda in my house to throw a party with. I drink Diet Dr. Pepper like it's a religious thing. Aggie sometimes will drink Coke. I also stock up on juices, waters for Aggie and the neices and nephews.

Be careful with the diet sodas - they have a limited shelf life before they go bad. The ones with equal - not sure of splenda - will go bad after a certain amount of time - less than 6 months. It is easy to tell also - if the can is "squishy" feeling when you open it be prepared for some funky soda. I have had this happen with both Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi branded sodas.

However, I do stock up when it is on sale - especially for our office. I refuse to pay full price for soda - someone always has some brand on sale.

STOCKPILE!!!! Yes we stock up whenever its on sale, which isnt often on Coke products lately. they have pepsi on sale all the time then usually only put coke 2liters on sale, but i found them 4/$12 an bought 8, we love coke around here so we CANNOT run out!

We always stockpile when anything is on sale. It comes in handy for guests and also if anyone in your family can use something you can't. It is not wrong to stockpile in todays economy. No not at all. You sound like a smart shopper.

I try to stock up when the run it 5 for $10....... DH drinks Diet Dew as if that the only beverage on earth. ALthough recently him and DS are sucking down my Dasani water once the add the flavor packs to them. Can't really holler at them but it's not often we go through 4 cases of water in a week and a half.

We have coke on sale one week and then pepsi the next and back and forth. However coke always gives us the best prices such as 4/11 and if we want a good deal on pepsi we have to lose money to do it. Such as this week we put in pepsi cubes at $4.95 and lost over $1 per sale. Did this to keep customers here in our store and not another store.

Nope .. we don't buy pop here. I did however stock up on Gatorade when it was on sale at Giant Eagle 10/$10 .. and that was the big bottles.

I buy more bottled water than anything .. I try to keep stocked up on that.

Yes, I do. I buy up canned Mountain Dew when it's on sale (that's the only thing my husband drinks, takes a case to work every day) and also bottled water for me. I try to buy more of whatever we like and use when it's on sale. Just makes sense to me.
