new (to us) car

Well, we found a car yesterday. We bought a 2003 Saturn Vue - it had under 80k miles. It gets pretty good mileage and it cost us under $7,000.
We will have payments for a couple of years, but are hoping to get it paid off in less than 1 (using DH's bonuses).

Congrats! We've had 3 Saturns and have loved every one of them. We have the Aura now, it was our first brand new car. Our first one was a "total" but we still drove it for 4 years and never had to put it in the shop. Then we had a used (but new to us) L200. We loved it dearly. Hope you love yours just as much!

I know what you mean. We were hoping to have enough cash at the end of the year to buy a car with cash, but since DH's car basically gave up on us, we realized that we had to get him a car (there is no public transportation to speak of where we are & DH works in Pinellas county & he can't get there from here without a car).
Anyway, we are hoping to get it paid off by Feb.
This is our second Saturn - we love their cars!
