What should I do...?

I am so mad right now:getyou I cannot take it any longer. :tearhair I have one of the worst mail men ever. I live in a 2 unit apartment building my mailbox is at the end of the drive way my neighbors is beside it my mail box is clearly marked APT A. First it starts in February. When I first noticed. It was an order from amazon all nip tuck seasons. Well 2 weeks goes bye. No nip tuck so I write the seller she says she sent it and sent a dc number. I check and the package said it was delivered so I went to my neighbors who are awful and would steal candy from a baby and they say "Oh noo we have not gotten any of your mail" I walked away and cried because I was so mad. . Well now I rarely get any mail other then there mail and im a nice person so I leave it at there door with a post it saying if ya have mine can u leave it at my door. I never get anything from them. Now im waiting on a check I have a loan to payback and no mail other then there mail. I have talked to the mail man. He says he leaves my mail in my box. I never catch him in the act because I cannot see the mailbox from my apartment. I just wrote the post office. I love the mail its my little bit of happiness in these hard times to get my freebies from here. I just don't know. If this does not stop im leaving when my lease is up in January. What would you guys do? I want to add I cannot just walk up and talk to my neighbors they might stab me FORREAL! they are really bad people. They are supposed to be moving in 3 months but gosh.... Ya Know! I JUST WANT MY MAIL!!!!

Maybe get a PO box. Kind of inconvenient but at least you would get your mail.

Ya know I did not even think of that. I will look around online for one in my area I just want to make sure it has a number because ill miss out on alot of freebies with a p.o box number! because of the :rules

Are you sure it's your mailman-could your neighbors be taking it?

First off, MY BF is a mailman, I have posted this before..
Contact your Mail Office and make a formal compliant, you may have to go down and sign a FORMAL compliant, remember this will go to "DISCOVERY" mode and your Mailman and his subsitutes will go into an investigation, so if you feel your mailman is directly rude, not personal, or anythng else, that must be reported as well.
Regardless, I doubt he is stealing your mail, if it found out he is, he might be changed on his route, or suspended, they have great backing by the Union, however you should not feel any threats by this, should you choose to take this to the Mail Office you use, it will be taken direct to the Post Office Master..if it is found out that in fact your mail was delivered, you maybe be asked to sign a formal letter on your neighbors, they will actually send a 'spy", to see what is what..
They will wait and see, if you didn't know any mailman has a key for apts, boxes and general housing to get your mail to you, they have at times sent people walking with my BF, just to "check things", it is random in his case, or if a mailman has ISSUES, they will send a "shadow", to watch every move he makes, for whatever reason, say a DOG was off lease, or a non sholved walked in serious conditions..YOU must take action and you can find your POST OFFICE listed in the Yellow/ White pages or Google it and them explain your concerns..the Goverment hires these people, you pay taxes, etc, you have every right to make a FORMAL INQRY..DO it...it is your right.
And Mail personal caught stealing and other matters in is contempt of his/her job, and will be removed for formal invesitgations, if it is found that your neighbors have stolen your mail, is a FELONY...and are subject to be arrested.
I wish you luck, it maybe you have a crappy mailman, but it maybe he is doing a crappy job and someone else is accountable for the theft, I encourage you to contact your Post Office.
BTW they aren't that many great freebies, but explain at the time you chose to contafct your postal Office you have many packages and the like and using a P.O. Box is directly toward the Post Office and thier systems, and you would NOT chose to do that and will include this in your FORMAL COMPLAINT.

I know it would be a pain but can you just have them hold your mail at the Post Office, like vacation hold or something until these people move?

Wow thanks everyone you guys are a huge huge help. I really dont think its the mail man stealing the mail I just think maybe he just does not care what box he puts the mail in. I dont think the neighbors take the mail from my box I think he gives it to them in there box and takes my packages to the door for them. The door for the apartment they live in is on the backside of the house he hasta walk past my door that says APT A to take it to them. I am going to the post office tomorrow morning I will update and let everyone know what happens cause I know something's going on.

Rent a PO Box, it is something like $28 a year and your mail is guaranteed to get there

I wish it were only $28 a year. Hubby has a box, the smallest they sell and that costs over $50 a year.

Could you use the post office address, we have lots of sub-stations, like 100 North 4th, then just say #102 (as your box number) then it wouldn't say PO Box and they wouldn't know it was a PO Box and you could still get your freebies.

File a complaint with the post office. Even if your mail man delivers your mail to the wrong box or the wrong persons apt, it is illegal for them to keep your mail..in fact it is a federal offense. They are required by law to give you your mail or return it to the post office. I would also talk to your mail man about this and let him know what is going on so he is aware that he is delivering your mail to the wrong place.
