All of this isn't bad....so I'll get the halfway good out of the way first.

My youngest son has decided he wants to go to public school instead of home schooling. Im scared for him, which is stupid...but I am.

Now...to the other stuff. My temp assignment ended January 2008, they first denied my unemployment for 5 weeks because the company said I didnt call in for another assignment, which I proved was false. Got the UE, plus back pay. It ran out the week of June 20 something. President Bush voted the extension for UI benefits....well, Kansas still isn't distributing them. I've had job interviews, have had to tell them of my physical limitations, of course, then there's been others more qualified. Have another interview tomorrow for a job I REALLY want at www.datacoremarketing.com . So, at the moment FLAT broke. For this week, I have for my family to eat, 1 box (about 24 pks) Ramen noodles, 4 Banquet tv dinners, because of course the SRS office hasnt called back after numerous calls that I am no longer on UI and should now qualify for foodstamps and my disabled husband to be put back on Medicaid.

Got a call from my mom about an hour ago. A pastor whom I lived with for a year or so (with his family) and who was my pastor for about 10 years, had his 2nd heart attack yesterday. They called the family in today. He's only in his early 60's.

Lightning struck my desktop computer last night. Now, am using the laptop from a friend.

Freezer in kitchen (about 20 years old) just started smoking and shooting sparks.

Then some other personal stuff, has me ready to :getyou

I'm sorry for all you're going through. Man it seems like life gets harder every day. I hope and I'll pray for you that things will get a whole lot better for you and your family. It really seems like every body I talk to are going through such hard times lately. I wish things would turn around for every body and we can all have some peace in our lives.

It is to me. Thank you for understanding about it. I live in Lees Summit MO (a KC Metro suburb), Im afraid of course of the violence in schools (this is snooty upper crust KC), but im worried too about the snooty upper crust part...I cant even hardly afford to live here more, I want him to fit in, Im scared, what if he doesnt make friends. He isn't mentally challenged, but he walks slow and talks slow sometimes....and how will that be dealt with?

Good luck on your job interview!!!!
Do you have an impact center near you or a food pantry? Try to get some help, the food is about the easiest thing to get help with around here, at least eat good, it may help with a little bit of the stress.
I hope everything turns around for you!!!!!!!

I hope starts looking up for you. Go to food banks or find out what churches offer free food. You should be able to get emergency food stamps. You son will do fine in school. Also apply for the free or reduced lunch program.

I even looked for that tonight online. Lees Summit is a more affluent community. To be honest, I dont really belong here. I moved here for safety reasons when I was working last year, thinking stupidly the job was going to go to permanent hire...but anyway. and the food pantrys are all private church run in Lees Summit...and the soonest one is open is Wednesday. Husbands disability check comes in on Friday. Where we lived before I had to use the food pantry sometimes and it was a lot easier than in the town I live in now. Am still trying to figure out more options here....
Thank you for the good wishes.

You go ahead and cry it does help to relieve the stress. I really do feel for you and hope things get better. No one deserves to have to worry all the time. I know you're worried about your son I'll keep him in my prayers too that he'll make friends and be ok at the school. It really helps coming here and talking things over doesn't it. It's been a great stress reliever for me too.
People here have been a God send when I'm stressed out.

You really aren't alone. A lot of us know what you're going through and feel for you. And the prayers help too.

my sister lives in lees summit, her daughter just graduated, this year from one of the schools there-i know it can be violent in some places there, but i believe its not so much the schools-i do understand your being worried about him though,as i live in rural area of mo,and i worried about my sons going to school here-it was hard ,but i was just there for my boys when they needed me,and thats basically what you will have to do for your son,as he has made the decision, its what he wants to do,i think he will be alright,mom-i will be praying for you both, that everything works out fine.

I have sure been there waiting for my husband's disability check. A friend went around his office and collected money for us to live on. That was a life saver for us. I walked around with that panic feeling in my chest for weeks.
I will be pulling for you.
