A lady that hubby works with had to put her dog down the day before yesterday. She has had this dog for 18 yrs. She literally raised it with a tiny bottle when it was born. Her hubby (who also works at the same place as my hubby) was building a little casket to bury the dog in. You want to know what her hubby said after she came home with her dead baby??? Why couldn't you have waited another day because I have something else I wanted to do today. I could not believe he was so cruel. They have no children this was her baby but I guess it wasnt the same for him. That just broke my heart. I did of course tell hubby what would happen if he were ever that heartless toward me about something that was hurting me so badly. On the bright side you know what their boss did???? He sent her flowers at work yesterday because he understands how much she is hurting.

Guys can be so thoughtless. He probably didn't mean for it tosound like that, they don't seem to have any sort of muffler between their brain and thier mouth.

What an awesome boss to understand and care like that. My dh has a dog that is about 14 yrs. old now, he's had her since she was about 6 months old. When we first got together it was like living with his girlfriend or something, she'd always sit with her back to me, etc... We've been together about 4 yrs. now and she loves me now. I dread the day when she passes, not only because I will be upset but for my dh too. He will be lost w/out her. I'd NEVER think of saying anything even close to rude or uncaring to him at that moment, he'd probably divorce me!

I would leave the hubby & go marry the boss!

Seriously, I would have placed a knee so far up his crotch that he wouldn't be able to do what he had planned on doing.

When we put our old dog down a few years ago, I had never seen my hubby so emotional which made it even worse for me. It was horrible & now we have 2 dogs. I hope they never get old.
