I just went to redeem my points at Mypoints for a $50 Macy's gift card. I know it was available just a week or so ago because I checked to see how close I was to getting it. As of today...they don't offer it anymore...ARRRGGH.

I understand that I am getting a freebie so don't bash me for not appreciating it. I truly do appreciate what I earn from that site with very little effort. I will need to earn more points to get another comparable gift card for another store...and it certainly isn't hard to do. I'm just a little disappointed because I was looking forward to this...and now I will have to wait a little longer.

As I said...a petty vent. But, I feel better now.

Sometimes they're just out of them. I tried for a $10 Walmart and it wasn't there. About a week later they were back. So just keep checking.

Thanks, everyone, for your commentsl. I didn't think that it may have been removed because they were out of stock. That is a very good suggestion, Vicky. I'll check back periodically to see if they come in. If not, there is always another card I can get in a month or so.

I had the same prob. at christmas when I wanted a specific one. (forget now which one b/c I did several) was there, then not, then back. Wait a few days if you can and check again.

I was going to get one for the Olive Garden a while back but when I had enough points they didn't have it available anymore. I ended up getting a JC Penney card instead which worked out well. I got the $10 card and we bought two baby outfits and it only cost us 87 cents. They were having one of those buy one get one for 88 cents sale.

Same thing happened to me, I wanted an amazon GC but they don't have them right now..hopefully they will get more. I hope you wasn't worried about posting a petty vent because of what I said in pepsi's thread about her vent being petty, her's was about her points taking a long time to clear..EVERYONE has to wait for their points to clear so to me it was a petty vent. Besides, your not starting a hundred threads a day whining constantly about anything and everything..BIG difference there!!

What I was told before, is that they get an allotment of them 1 or 2 times a month (depending on the vendor.) Since it is the 17th, I am going with the likelihood that Macy's is a once a monther. Keep checking, but I would say your best bet will be around the 1st of the month.

You can also try emailing them and asking, they have always been very good about getting back to me.

Try sticking to the original post, it might get you somewhere!! I was explaining a comment I made because I thought the OP may have thought it wasn't OK for her to vent about her not being able to get a certain GC that she wanted, I was not looking for any opportunity to slam her. Nothing wrong with your vent. Just because some don't think a person has a right to vent or their vent is petty the person making the vent doesn't that is why they vent. lol
And by you posting yours you found out something you didn't know about. Like they do restock the g/c. Others who might be reading threads didn't know and they might of also learned something about the restocking.

The other posters are right,the Macy's gc will probably be back,they're just out of them right now.They're have been many a gc that i have wanted only to find out they were out,but they always had them back in weeks later.And don't ever hesitate to post your vent just because of other peoples comments.They're all welcome-petty and non petty.

I truly never worried about posting before, but lately I am reluctant to do so. However, everyone has given me great feedback for which I am appreciative.

I don't think any vent is petty. It might not be as important to everyone else as it is to the person venting. But the person who's doing it needs to get it off their chest or just talk to someone about it. It really helps to vent sometime. Relieves the stress or like this vent, gets you the answers you wanted.

Whoa...did you speak to a manager. I ONLY use my gift card when I can use one of their coupons too. I then make sure I can find something on sale to start with so I can get a lot with a $50 gift card.

Unless the coupon specifically excluded using a GC to make the purchase, or the gc had a disclaimer stating that you could not use it with a coupon, I would contact corporate.

I know all coupons say you cannot purchase a gc with it, but absolutely nothing about saving money with a coupon and paying with a gc.
