My little one (2 1/2 year old) just fell flat on her face and busted her lip. She was running across the floor and tripped. I've got the bleeding to stop finally. It is already swelling. Is there anything I do for the swelling and the pain?

The only thing I can think of is to ice it for the swelling and give her some pain reliever for the pain. Hugs for the sweetie.

I didnt think about the tylenol. Thank you very much. We tried the ice and she'll leave if for a minute but then off it comes.

Tylenol for pain and either a cold, wet washcloth or ice. Usually ice is too cold for them though, so a cold wash rag is good.

Thank you Heidi. She likes to chew on wash rags anyway when they are wet. It's something she picked up from her sister. LOL I'll try that. She is trying to go to sleep on me but I want to make sure she is ok before I let her.

since she won't hold the ice on try a popcycle or freeze pop if you have them.

Poor baby, mouth bleeds are the worse, seems like they always bled the worse on my girls, do you happen to have any popsicles, I always tried to keep a couple on hand just for this type of fall when my girls were little, now I keep them around for all of my girlfriends grandkids for when they come to visit.
Good Luck

If you have a popsicile let her suck on one maybe that will freeze her lip a bit.

The wash rag and the popcicle worked on the swelling. It doesnt look to bad. She slept all thru the night so I dont think she had any pain. She hasnt gotten up yet this morning. LOL
She sounded so pityful last night on the phone. She was telling her Daddy what happened.

I hope your daughter feels better. I was going to say a bag of frozen vegies, but the popcycle sounds better for a little one.
