I'm going camping this weekend with my in-laws, my SIL, BIL, and thier kids. I went one time last year with them too. But I'm not very camp saavy. Thankfully they have those pop-out campers, so we won't be sleeping in tents. I was wondering though what I should bring. I know I need bug spray, sunscreen, bathing suits, marshmallows, tequila, and snorkels, but other then that I'm pretty lost. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

When I was little my family used to have a pop-up camper. We would go camping for 2 wks at a time. It was so much fun.

Maybe bring a sleeping bag or blankets/pillows.

Change for the washer if they have facilitys like that there. Also a flashlight comes in handy.

I wanna go!! I have everything we need! I have the camp stove, lanterns, flashlights, mattresses....lol.

You need to get you some graham crackers and hershey bars to go with those marshmellows. You gotta have s'mores.

Don't worry, I'll be packing Jose, Jim and Jack for the nighttime next to the fire. :)

Thanks flute! That's a pretty impressive list, and it sure will be a big help (although I don't think I'll need all of that because my in-laws are more then likely already fully equipped in the camper.) But there are some really good suggestions about the personal belongings, and I will print it out for when I pack Thursday.

Thanks for the smores reminder too tngirl! :)

wow flute! :lol she gave you tons of suggestions, I'm not much of a camper, so I'm not help, camping to me is Motel 6 :lol and those skeeters love me so I'd be packing two cans if not more of bug spray

my family loves to camp and I always remember them getting frozen or refrigerated bread dough and putting it on the "hot dog" sticks and cooking it over the fire and then smothering it in butter.. mmmm.... so good! Have fun :D

I figured that - I have 2 lists - 1 for master camping (that I showed you) that is for when WE go
and I have a 'small camping checklist' for when we go with my family ( memorial weekend & labor day weekend) - I figured you need the small one but didn't have the time to search for it. :)

They're practically the same anyway but when we go with my parents I never bring firewood or pots & pans. And I only bring snackin' foods - rarely do I bring other foods. (did make 'em my home made lemonade on Memorial weekend)

I hope you have fun & I am totally jealous cus I was trying to talk hubby into camping this weekend but he said NO - maybe later on in the month. He's such an OLD fuddy duddy.

I'm jealous! I used to camp every other weekend in AZ.
I'm a tent camper, but do enjoy the luxuries of a "camper".

Flute, you take church clothes camping? Lol, where we camp there ain't usually a church for miles around. Maybe a camp minister, but you wear what you are wearing and sit out under a tree...lol.
