I hate making pancakes but my son absolutely loves them so he was either being deprived of them or I was struggling to make them....well the other day at the store, I saw something called batter blaster...pancakes in a can. I thought WTH why not? Can't be any worse than some of the other things they have on the market that I've bought. So I just tried it this morning...absolutely wonderful! You just squirt out the batter into any shape you want and cook like normal. Plus my son loves them!! :dancing: I'm so happy. Okay, I know pancakes don't take long to mix up, cook, and eat, but for some reason I just hated that mixing up and cleaning up part...so call me lazy, I'm okay with that.

no, it's in the refrigerated section. I bought it at Fred Meyer. If you go to www.batterblaster.com there's an area that will show you what stores in your area carry it.

I don't think you are one bit lazy. You found a way to make your son happy without having a stressed out mom to deal with.

Confession time. I didn't learn how to make edible pancakes till I got married. My pancakes would never be done in the middle. Hubby had to teach me how to make them.

I haven't had a home made pancake in years. I wish I could make them. My grandmaw made wonderful homemade pancakes.

Too bad you didn't get to make that move to London, Ky. You would have had company bright and early on the 19th of next month demanding homemade pancakes.

"Mom" as all us grandkids called our grandmaw made her own syrup too. Thanks Galeane for bringing back a wonderful memory.

I might still get up there to good ole Kentucky, one day :) And I'd not mind one bit for you to visit =)

My mother taught me to bake and cook at an early age. My children will get up on the weekends and make pancakes, waffles even biscuits and gravy. They love to spend time in the kitchen with me. My mother made her own syrup also, thats one thing I have never tried to do lol I've been keeping my eye on my fig trees, I'm dying to make some more fig/strawberry preserves. I'm going to try my hand at homemade fig newtons this year.

We make homemade (ok, not from SCRATCH, but using Bisquick and some other ingredients) waffles or pancakes every Sunday and serve them with either sausage or bacon and orange juice. I can eat Eggos if I need to, but can't do frozen/microwave pancakes. BARF!

Bisquick also makes the "Shake n Pour" (http://www.bettycrocker.com/products/bisquick/Bisquick-Product-Landing-Page.htm?) pancakes which still taste great. You just add water and shake it up and pour it on the griddle. :)

My poor kids - I either make these 'healthy banana' pancakes with millet, or 'pick a grain/fruit' pancakes. Yesterday I made oatbran pancakes with cinnamon & fresh apricots.

Thank you so much for posting about this, Jenefer!!! I love pancakes but hate the mixing and putting in the pan. I just checked and Meijers sells it. The best part is I am heading there now.

Have you ever tried the frozen pancakes that you get from wal-mart? They are in a bag. In the frozen food section. You just put them in the microwave, and they are all done with no mess! To me they are as close to homemade pancakes that you can get. My kids love them!

That's what we use 80% of the time... they are too easy, and, are PERFECT for camping, or when we go to the cabin... just add water, pour, and throw away ! SWEET !

I thought the same thing. I also make home made pancakes, but these would really be quick and easy clean up. They are organic too! Did you watch the video? DH watched it over my shoulder and thought it was a joke commercial like on Saturday Night Live, till I showed him that our Meijer store carries this.

I paid $3.99 for mine, but the store I bought it at is usually more expensive than others in town. Of course, to me, it was worth that $4 cuz it made my kids, especially my son, extremely happy and it's organic. I probably won't buy tons of it, but it'll definitely hang out in my fridge often.

Heck, the $4.00 bucks is worth the convenience to me! LOL and it is organic. Ya gotta love kids, the things that make them happy. I can remember when I was a kid, and always wanted my mom to buy me Jiffy pop popcorn. I thought that was the coolest stuff. you'd put in on the stove and it would pop and get bigger and bigger. UhOh I'm kinda tellin my age here. LOL

At this time, Batter Blaster is available in select stores in the Western States (CA, AK, ID, HI, OR, WA),
the Southwest (AZ, CO, NM, UT, NV, TX), Parts of the Midwest (IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, OH) and the Mid-Atlantic States (DC, MD, NJ, PA, VA).
For Costco shoppers in Southern California, we will return to shelves in September.

If you live in one of the above mentioned states and your zip code comes up with no record
(for example: "I live in Washington, but when I enter my zip code no results are found") it is because our
zip code locator is designed to search for stores that carry our product within 25-miles of the
zip code entered. We suggest using multiple zip codes, including those of nearby metropolitan cities.

At this time we do not accept mail order via the Internet or by phone. We anticipate full
national distribution by July 2008. Please be sure to contact your local grocer and request Batter Blaster.
We look forward to helping you make a better breakfast faster!
