Please help

I fell short of my goal yesterday for my Missions trip money. I have till the beginning of June to make $300. Thru out today, I am going to be posting lots of auctions, items for sale, and a raffle in the For Sale/Trade forum. I would be forever grateful if ya'll would check them out.. and if passable buy or bid on them. I know a lot of you don't go to that forum often .. which is why I am posting this here.

Here are a few pics to show the lives we touch down there... and the lives that touch us.

This is the intake tent at the free clinic we set up and run all week.. this was early on the first day.. because once word spread that we had a free clinic.. we were packed from morning till evening.

This is the prayer tent at the clinic.. when the family was done with the doctors and had been given their meds.. we then prayed for them and their needs.

This is one of the poorest schools in Machala.. they asked us twice were we sure we wanted to set up and minister there.. since they were so poor.

This is where the kids buy their lunch at school if they are fortunate enough to have money..there are no cafeterias.. no organized sit down lunches.. they bring food.. or buy it in the little school stores like this.. they eat outside, during free time.

This is one of our dramas we show them.. its to music that is in Spanish so they understand everything we are saying.. the drama shows that no matter what the circumstances.. homelessness.. drugs...home violence lots of things these kids face in everyday life.. that somebody loves them... God.

ok... thought I would give and update..
first the bad news... someone (a rl person..not here) that pledged $100 for my trip can not help now... I had counted that in my already have total.. so my need is now $400.. not $300... BUT...

thanks to some very nice people on here.. I am on my way to having it..

I am working on a car wash now... the stores in our town are a little funny about last minute things... there are really only 2 locations that are decent for a car wash (I live is a small town..lol) I am waiting to hear back from the manager now. If I had know the potato festival wasn't going to be what we needed, then I would have planned a carwash a while back.. thats how I raised my money last year.. a carwash and a bakesale.. and I sold calenders... thanks for your help Tami!!

I hope you are allowed to do the car wash and you can raise enough money. I wouldn't wait for the manager to call you, I'd bug him/her and talk about how important this is for the kids that need the help. I can't even imagine living that way. We take way to many things for granite. Running water for an example. I sponsor a little girl that used to have to walk miles to get water, and dirty water at that. Now her village has a well, she goes to school and gets medical care.

I just wish I could do more. So many people have so much and yet give so little. It's so sad. I'm not talking about anyone on this board, just people in general.
