We are leaving Saturday for our trip to the Stanley Hotel and we are flying. I have never flown before and it's been years since hubby has flown. I looked on the website for restrictions of what you can/can't take on flight but it doesn't say a whole lot. I was wondering, can I bring a disposable razor in my luggage? For shaving of course LOL...but I didn't know if they would allow it or not being they may think it's some sort of weapon or something LOL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are flying with Frontier Airlines. Also, any tips for my flight would be greatly appreciated as well :)

You can't have them in your carry on bag but you can have them in your checked luggage.

yes you can...in checked.. not sure about carry on....If you are planning on putting it in your carry on I would suggest putting it in a quart size ziplock bag with your other bathroom stuff..for carry on remember that your liquids have to be 2oz or less.. this includes liquid make up.. and all must be packed in a quart size ziplock.

I am pretty sure I put mine in my carryon last year when I went to Ecuador... cause there is always the chance that my checked will not make it..lol.. so I put all my bathroom items in my carry on

Hope you have a good time on your trip. I think the TAPS investigators are supposed to be there on Halloween.

This isn't necessarily about the actual flight. But just be forewarned that it is high elevation where you're flying to, and to Estes Park. So it might take a little bit to get adjusted. It wasn't a problem for us because we drove.

Also you might want to bring some gum with you on the plane. Some people have trouble with their ears popping and chewing gum will help with that. I'm not sure how long your flight is but you might want to bring some snacks. You won't be able to bring any drinks on unless it's something you've bought once you've gone through security.

Be sure to check with the airline your flying with my DH came home yesterday and said he recieved an email at work stating the airlines are changing their luggage rules. He travels atleast once a year and use to be able to bring two pieces of luggage and now can only bring one without being charged extra and if it weighs over a certain amount it'll cost as well. Just thought I'd mention it evethough it didn't relate to your question.

you can take food or water that is bought on the other side of security. Take something to keep you busy on the plane, book, ipod, any thing to pass the time.

have fun

yeah it's true now you can only check one piece of luggage in per person, I think the fee is anywhere from $25.00 upto $50.00 for additional luggage.

We were able to bring snacks from home. It's just the drinks that have to be bought once you're through security. When we flew back in March we brought a package (not the whole box) of saltines, fruit snacks, candy and gum with us.

Our flight isn't too long. It's about 2.5 hours. We are driving from Michigan (where we live) to Chicago Illinois which is about 3.5 hours away and then flying from Chicago, Illinois to Denver, Colorado and that will take about 2.5 hours in the air. And then we are renting a car to get from Denver to Estes Park. I'm afraid of heights, so I'm not sure how well I'm going to handle this. I'm making sure I bring my migraine medicine (hopefully that's allowed or I'm in trouble). I made sure hubby got the seat next to the window LOL.

I just carried my suitcase on and was able to take a disposable razor. And you can take your meds.
