Shreveport police say a street fight involving close to a dozen members of two families Sunday night ended with a teenager suffering stab wounds.
Officers were called to the 200 block of W. 69th Street around 9:20 p. m. Sunday on a report of a brawl going on in the middle of the street.
They say they found 8 adults and 3 juveniles engaged in the fight, which had begun as a verbal dispute several hours earlier.
After investigating, officers say they learned that Danielle McKnight, 17, pulled a gun during the physical altercation and hit Christina Johnson, 17, in the head with it. Police say Johnson then used a broken bottle to cut McKnight.
The stabbing victim was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center for treatment.
Police arrested both teens and cited several adults who took part in the fight.
