Prom night for our son...

So, to make it fun for our daughter (she is 11) , we agreed to let her have a sleep over.
But forgot to place a limit. 22 girls have been invited, and already 8 have RSVPed.
I have no idea how many to expect at this point!

I swear my name isn't momma: it is SUCKER

oh my goodness, I'll be sending up a prayer for you...I could not even begin to imagine 22 11-year old girls. We had a party once where we had 15 9-year olds not counting my three kids. That was a nightmare..the shrieking, giggling, OMG'ing, and smell (I cannot believe how many of them wore perfume or some other stuff) was more than I could handle. Thankfully my friend came over who has the patience of a saint and helped me out.

OMG, you are really going to have your hands full. I become shell shocked with just the thought of 22 giggling girls. When my son was in high school he would come home with a bunch and then it was "Mom, do you think you could make some apple fritters" so I would be at the stove most of the evening. Tell you what tho, I really missed all the kids when my son got married. It was really alot of fun having them over, boys and girls and me keeping an eye on them.

You could always pack up and come to my house, if all 22 show up.

If not give them lots of things to do, crafty things that take hours work best.

Give them all dust rags and mops. Let them do the spring cleaning. Yea, a cleaning party, how fun. HEEHEEHEE

That's what I do with our neice sometimes as a game. If she will help me do something around the house.....i.e. unload dishwasher, dryer we do something fun. We call it the Cinderella game. Of course I'm the evil stepsister....lol

Good luck with the party. Hopefully not all of them will show up. When our neice has friends over for the night I tell them to bring something they like to do, bring a movie, game, crafts.

Ah, the sleepover parties. That brings back memories, but now that my daughter is married and a mom in her own right the memories are good. As hellish as they seemed at the time I wouldn't trade them for anything!! Enjoy these times while your kids are young because you'll never get the chance again!!

Hopefully they won't all be able to make it. We have a big apartment but not big enough for 22 extra people. LOL

13 girls are currently in the back room.
I am lucky, and we have a spare room.
The noise is a bit much: the giggles, the shreeks, laughter.
IT SMELLS ALREADY.
I do not know what they did, but that smell is horrid. It is a mixture of perfume, fingernail polish and too many girls not using deodorant!!!!!

Shaving cream fight will be later! At least they will smell better.

I teased my husband, and said I had to work!!!
He said I could, if I took them all with me.
So far it is: Jeff Dunham dvds, karoake, dancing, make overs, and eating. Movies later...

It is almost 8 am: not a single girl is asleep... Nor have they slept all night.

I am about to make breakfast, and send them all to the backyard.

We SURVIVED.
