American Airlines pulled 500 of it's planes from service yesterday to re-do electrical services (ok-probably a good thing) but hubby, who is only home every six weeks, was supposed to come home today-flying on American. Flight is canceled! Waaaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Been on hold for 35 minutes now trying to get him booked on another flight.

where did you check flight info? I am flying on AA on Friday....

still on hold. DD is supposed to fly to Dallas tomorrow AM, she is editor of the high school yearbook and they go and preview it, they just found out their flight is canceled too! Hopefully they will be able to get out on another flight!

We fly out on the 20th on AA.

Whew! 1 1/2 hours on hold! Got him onto a later flight tho-he'll get in at 10 tonight. They are still trying to re-organize daughter's flight, but they have a full day to do it, so they should get to Dallas/lol. Apparently it is the American flights to/from Dallas-doesn't affect American Eagle

So it's 6:22 pm-his flight out of Wichita is delayed, which means he won't make his connection in Chicago, which means he won't make it home tonight!

It's not just Dallas (where I am), they said on the news this morning it was affecting flights in and out of Chicago now, too. My cousin works for AA, has for almost 15 years. She says these kinds of things happen from time to time. I don't know... hope all you fliers get to and from safely!

it's everywhere, they are cancelling lots of flights and so are other airlines, if you plan on flying, I'd def check the airlines website before going.. I don't understand what is up w/ these airlines but I hope they pull their act together soon, more and more flights are being cancelled, what three different ones went bankrupt, ATA out here didn't even tell the passangers so many were stranded here in Vegas last week and couldn't get to Hawaii :( very sad.
