I was going to my car after shopping at Walmart and had pacakges in my cart.
This young girl came up and said I got this perfume it is like White Diamond give it a try.
Told her I wasn't interested all the time I am still walking toward my car and she is following. She was so you have to try it, fianlly (told a white lie :) to get rid of her that I had a allergy to perfume so was not going to try anything. She stood there like a lost pup and I when on to my car.
Watch a bit from the car she only when up to women alone (which they seem to be able to get rid of her too) and then would go back and talk to 2 men standing by a car with the trunk open.
I did go back to Walmart and tell the greeter she said she would tell the manager but don't know if she did.
I can't explain it just had a werid feeling that something wasn't right in the way she was acting and with the men. She never said if she was selling or what?

That is bizzare, follow your gut though I think you did right by getting rid of her!

i have gotten forwards about stuff like that but never happened to any one I know.
Supposidly (don't know the truth or not) it's supposed to give you a reaction and they steal your stuff. Not sure how they can pull it off if the parking lot is busy though.

during college spring breaks we sometimes have kids come through selling perfumes, vaccuums etc trying to earn more money for the rest of the college year and they do come in our store asking people if they can come by and they do walk door to door.

yeah that to. I know they have come by my door in the past mostly for mags but have had perfume before. I would try to let the store know b/c they may not have permission to be out there. I know they are trying to make money but the store may not want people bothering their customers before they get into the store.

My husband and I were in Walmart yesterday and he always browses the magazines/books while I shop. Well yesterday there was a man there who had a shopping cart full of his own books from home! lol he tried to sell those to my husband. Sounds like you did the right thing in your situation, you can never be too careful. In all seriousness they could have said we have a trunkful, come and see. They could have pushed you right on in and things could have been way different. I would probably call and speak to a manager and make sure hey are aware of it. Glad you ok!

I'd be afraid they would drug me spraying perfume and then take my money and car. You did right but getting away from her. I've seen college students try to sell stuff but they always had some kind of ID for whatever they were selling.

I can't stand outside store solicitors. I've been BSed one time too many.
Here is what I do as soon as I get out of my car to enter the store and just as soon as I'm heading out me store. I open up my cellphone and pretend to have a very loud conversation, laughing and such. I've never been approached by a solicitor while doing this, and even if I were to be approached by one while on my cell, I'd tell them...Hello, I'm on the phone here!

We've had that happen to us too. A lot of the times they have knock off products that they are trying to pass off as originals. They probably had a trunk full of them that's why she went back to the car. That would be my guess anyway!

I bought one of those knock off perfumes once and it was junk! It oddly lost it's scent after a month in the bottle. Glad you got rid of her cause you never know what they were up to!

that's a good idea. I usually have my kids w/ them so I talk to the kids and look away from the solicitors.

Oh my gosh, we get them around here all the time, only they don't just come up to you in parking lots..they'll come up and beat on your car window when you're sitting at a red light.
