One of our sanitation workers was last seen by a co worker yesterday about 11 am at work. At 1 they noticed she was missing. She worked at the sanitation fill (garbage dump). The police, fireman and others spent all last night going through the garbage to see if she had been accidently covered up. They are still working. They let her family go past the line this afternoon just to see the workers looking. She is 42 and has 4 children. So far there has been no sign of her.

They have found bones in the past couple of hours. They are looking for a hand or something to try to identify this body with. Her son about 14 was interviewed and said if she isn't here they can't imagine where she is because she calls home on her cell phone frequently to check on the kids. It showed the family crying. I don't think I have heard of many things worse than this.
I am praying for the family. It is so sad.

No, they have said there is the possibility that this is not her. It will take 3 or 4 days to find out for sure. I don't understand , if she was only missing for 48 hrs when they found remains why would it be bones? The family says they can not wait 4 days to find out if it is her. I just feel so sorry for the family.

Oh, I am so sorry that there is no good news to report. I also feel terrible for the family of the woman whose bones they did find. I will continue to keep your friend in my prayers for a safe return.

They are still at the dump searching. So evidently they don't feel very confident that what they found is her. They have lights at night and are seaching 24 hrs day.

To me this is just unbelieveable. Two sets of bones have been found at the dump but neither set is believed to be her. But after about 5 days of searching around the clock, they have called off the search. I don't know what to think about the poor family. My heart just cries for them. And now they have 2 other bodies to identify. Can you imagine anything worse to have happen to your mom or family member?

On the 6:30 news they announced that the second body they found is hers. That is why they stopped the search. I guess they couldn't announce it right away until they could be positive. This is such a sad ending to this story.

Authorities said they have video of Willis driving on the landfill property, and it appears she parked her truck near where a Wood Fruitticher wholesale truck had parked to discard fruit. Such fruit is often dumped there when it has expired for sale, but is still good.

There are strict instructions for employees not to forage for produce, Lupo said, but it happens on occasion.

Roney said the work truck was parked there for a couple of hours, and heavy machinery continued to run during that time, which he believes was a mistake.

"They shouldn't run machines when you see a person is out of their vehicle in the area. I'm hurt from that," Roney said. "If it had been done that way, she could have lived under the trash for a period of time."
