View Full Version : Winter Storm Warning -- SE Michigan

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a winter storm warning, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning.

Snow is expected to develop Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m., increase in intensity after 7 p.m. and then continue through the night becoming heavy at times.

The snow may mix with sleet during the evening. Total snowfall is expected to be in the 5 to 8 inch range by sunrise Wednesday morning ALONG WITH AN INCH OR TWO OF ICE. In addition, strong northeast winds gusting up to 30 mph will create additional hazards of blowing and drifting snow. The snow will come to an end by 7 am Wednesday morning.

West Michigan is good for today at least, and I didn't have to drive on ice this morning since they scraped it off the road yesterday.

I'm in Mid Michigan area and we are suppose to get all that too. With all the rain and melting snow we got yesterday its like a ice rink in everyones yards and fields........I SO WANT SPRING!!!

Some schools were closed around here yesterday due to all the melting of snow...can you believe that?! Can't get them to close on bad snowy days, but let it melt and they close! go figure! lol

not to but it in but it's in the 70's here today.... will cool down some tomorrow though.

I'm also in MidMichigan but in Bay City, and yesterday it sounded like we were gonna get big snow, but looks like it'll just miss me and give me about 1 inch only. I'm good w/that.

Stay safe and watch out for the other guy while you're on the road.

ick! I hope everyone stays safe. if the saying goes in like a lion out like a lamb, you all should be expecting some wonderful weather the end of this month

HA! Last year it snowed on Mother's day! :(

Anyway... we have about an inch of ice on the ground, and it's pelting our windows again!! I have already shoveled the porch, sidewalk and driveway once tonight... there is about 7 inches of snow on the ground.

Detroit Metro airport is closed.

DH almost went into a ditch on the way home...the guy in front of him DID go into a ditch.

The wind is really blowing and we have white out conditions here.

ick! I hope everyone stays safe. if the saying goes in like a lion out like a lamb, you all should be expecting some wonderful weather the end of this month

When your from this part of the country, that does not apply .. lol.

I have seen March come in and out like a lion .. lol.

Schools here let out early yesterday because the ice was heading our way, by 5:00PM it was here.Schools are closed today,we have a a layer of ice and snow on top of it. Damn, it was 56 here the day before and a muddy mess.
