Rules for the Freebie forum....
(These are in addition to the Rules of Conduct (http://www.bigbigforums.com/announcement.php?a=25) you agreed to when you joined.)

Thank you all for the freebies you post. Following a few rules will make it much easier to find the freebies you are looking for.

PLEASE SEARCH before you post a freebie. If it's already been posted, just reply to that post and it will bump it back up to the top of the front page, instead of reposting it. Reposts will be deleted. ***

Make sure that the item is really free. If it requires S&H or a purchase to get, then it isn't free and should be posted in the Big Deals forum.

If the freebie you want to post is actually a coupon (even one for a free item) it should be posted in the Grocery Shopping deals forum instead of here.

Freebies of a religious nature need to be posted in the Religion and Prayers forum, not in here.

Invites, like Moola and others, should go in the Misc referral forum. (No 'bank' referrals, ie Paypal, ING and RME)

Survey, House Party, Product tester, etc. posts should go in the Rewards forum, because they aren't a freebie in the sense that everyone can sign up and get one. You only get the freebie (reward) if you qualify.
Also, if you get picked for testers, parties etc, post it in the Neener section, so you're not bumping up an old post.

Do not post links to other freebie/deal-type message boards. Post the direct link to the freebie.

'Pine Cone banner' posts are also not allowed, they will be deleted.

If you post a freebie and the company name is starred out, then don't try and get around the filter. It usually means that company doesn't want it's freebies posted here.

No posting information on how to defraud any company or promotion of any kind of illegal or unethical activity.

If you find a repost or a spam post, please DO NOT REPLY TO IT. That just keeps it up top of the front page. Either report it or leave it alone. We will find it and get rid of it if necessary.

And if something you posted here gets deleted, then it was a repost, spam, or the company doesn't want its offer posted here. Do not repost it.

Repeated violations of these rules will result in infractions. Several infractions can result in the loss of posting privileges. There is NO POINT in PM'ing the mods to argue about it. So from now on, I won't be responding to any PM's of this nature.

Just remember that we're not on here constantly, so if you report something, give us a little time to get to it. Also, it seems that some of you can take the time to PM the mods, complaining about reposts, posts in the wrong forum or that we let 'favorites' make reposts and don't do anything about it, BUT you can't take the time to PM us a link to the repost so we can check it out! If you can't do that, then why PM and complain about it??? Again, if you think something is a repost or in the wrong place, PM the link to a mod, instead of sending a PM whining and complaining...

UPDATED AUGUST 5,2011:

***PLEASE post only the name/company name of the freebie in the title. Others can't search for it if you have personal comments, or just ''dogfood'', in the title of the thread.

No more posting offers of any kind from NoMoreRack.com, anywhere on the board.

[COLOR="blue"]UPDATED FEB 13, 2012/COLOR]

Do not post hyperlinks. If you're going to post a link, post THE LINK, not ''click here'' or something else along that line. If you post a hyperlink, the entire thread will be deleted. This applies to ANYWHERE on the board.

NO REFERRALS in any link, unless it's in the referral forum. (And follow those rules please.) If you post a referral link in a freebie offer, it will be deleted.

UPDATED FEB 23, 2012

No posting offers/referrals of any kind from Zeekler.com , anywhere on the board.

Also you don't need to start threads in the vent/whine section complaining about infractions when it's your own fault you got it in the first place. These rules have been posted here since February. If you can't take the time to read them then you can't complain. If you don't like or agree with them then you are free to find another forum to go to that is run more to your liking.

And please don't reply to someone else who has replied to spam, telling THEM not to reply. Either way, it's bumping up the spam threads.

No more warnings.........

There seems to be a sudden surge in people responding to spam lately.....especially members who have been here MANY years, and should know better.

Automatic one week ban from now on, for responding to spam.

And don't respond to someone else, responding to spam, to tell them not to do it either. That still bumps up the post.

RE-READ POST 22.

I've started banning people (for a week) for responding to spam posts. I don't like doing it, but we're tired of telling people not to reply to spam. We have enough to do just banning those that post the spam.

It's been 2 1/2 yrs since this thread was started.......I'm sure you've all read it at least once. And it's been bumped several times in the past few weeks too.

Please don't create another account just so you can pm me (or another mod) and argue about it either. That's also against the rules and will get you banned permanantly.

NEWBIES! (and some ''oldies'')

PLEASE STOP POSTING YOUR ''HI, I'M NEW HERE'' OR ''I'M BACK AGAIN'' THREADS HERE IN THE FREEBIE FORUM.

THEY DO NOT GO HERE, AND THEY WILL BE DELETED. NOT MOVED........DELETED!

THEY GO UNDER ''WELCOME TO BIG FORUMS''.
