Couple suspected of child molestation, rape
THE PORTERVILE RECORDER
A Porterville man and his female companion are under investigation after Porterville police detectives found evidence of child pornography, lewd videos involving children and molestation in a home in the 800 block of West Sandra Avenue.
After receiving information that Steven Patrick Arthur might be in possession of child pornography, at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday, detectives served a search warrant at his home on West Sandra Avenue.
According to a Porterville Police Department press release, numerous items were found by detectives, including photographs and videos of pornography involving young children.
Additional evidence, according to the release, revealed that Arthur, 31, and his girlfriend Jennifer Lynn Thurman, 32, of Reedley, had physically molested young children in the home.
Detectives reportedly discovered video recordings of the couple’s activities with young children.
At least four unidentified young victims have been identified, police report, but the investigation is ongoing.
Arthur and Thurman have been arrested on suspicion of child molestation, rape and possession of child pornography.
They are being held without bail in the Tulare County Jail.

That is horrible. Can't for the life of me figure out people like that...not that I really want to, it just shouldnt exist. I hope they lock them up where they will never see the light of day again, but then the taxpayers will be supporting them, which is too good for them. I understand a lot of prison cons are pretty hard on child molesters....lets hope they meet these creeps.

I hope they get it in the end...lol
but they will probably end up in a secure part of the prison for thier safty...which is so stupid.
My kind of justice is to let them get stoned by the parents.
You know it hard enough to hear about a single child molester, but a couple in on it together? I mean really, how did they find out that the other was just like them?

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER
Five girls were reportedly unconscious while being sexually molested in a Porterville home.
Steven Patrick Arthur, 31, of Porterville, and his former girlfriend Jennifer Lynn Thurman, 32, of Reedley, were charged on Monday by the Tulare District Attorney’s Office with 13 counts of lewd acts with a child under 14, two counts of sodomy of an unconscious victim, two counts of rape of an unconscious victim, one count of oral copulation of a child under 14 and three misdemeanor counts of annoying or molesting a child.
The two pleaded innocent to all charges Monday at the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility courtroom.
“Based upon police reports, there’s sufficient evidence to show that these defendants committed the crimes,” Assistant District Attorney Don Gallian said.
Authorities allege that about 50 CDs containing child pornography were found in Arthur’s home — in the 800 block of West Sandra Avenue — last week after Porterville police received information that he might have been in possession of child pornography.
Prosecutors also have statements from the female victims — three 11 year olds and two 12 year olds — as evidence supporting the charges, Gallian said.
Thurman and Arthur were arrested Feb. 21 after Porterville police served a search warrant at the home.
Police reportedly found images of not only child porn on CDs, but also some of the girls appearing to be filmed at the home.
“The victims were sedated and unconscious of the acts that occurred,” Sgt. Mike Blain, a spokesman for the Porterville Police Department, said.
Bail has been set for Arthur and Thurman at $250,000 each. Both were jailed as of Monday.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled March 7 at the Tulare County Superior Court in Porterville.
"I would not give these two any type of bail what so ever. Just a noose and a cardboard box."

I hate child molestors. I hope they stay in prison for the rest of their lives. Them being EMT's you never know when you come into contact with people how sick they are at home. I hope the kids get counseling.

I think prison is too good for these scum. They are better off as shark bait.
But, then again the sharks probably couldn't stomach them either.:shark

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER
Federal charges were filed Thursday against two people accused of molesting a number of young girls in Porterville.
U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced that Steven Patrick Arthur, 31, of Porterville, and his former girlfriend Jennifer Lynn Thurman, 32, of Reedley, were charged in a five-count indictment with production of child pornography.
If convicted of the charges, Arthur and Thurman each face up to 30 years imprisonment and a mandatory minimum 15 years imprisonment for each of the five counts charged. Both offenses provide a possible lifetime term of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000, the U.S. Attorney reports.
“The investigation is ongoing,” Lauren Horwood, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Eastern District of California office, said. “There could be more charges filed.”
The indictment alleges that from Sept. 1, 2007 to Feb. 1, Arthur and Thurman had custody and control over five girls, between the ages of 11 and 13, and had produced images of them being sexually exploited.
The federal case stems from an investigation by the FBI Cybercrimes Task Force in Fresno. It was started after information was provided by the Porterville Police Department and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
“We’re very pleased with the indictment,” Sgt. Mike Blain, a spokesman for the Porterville Police Department, said of the federal charges.
Thurman and Arthur were arrested Feb. 21 after Porterville police served a search warrant at Arthur’s Porterville home. Authorities allege that about 50 DVDs containing child pornography were found in Arthur’s home — in the 800 block of West Sandra Avenue — last week after police received information that he might have been in possession of child pornography.
Porterville police reportedly located a computer hard drive, a video camera and numerous DVDs containing images of child pornography. After inspection of the camera, police reportedly found images of five girls being sexually molested by Arthur and Thurman, the U.S. Attorney reports.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, in a prepared release, outlined several alleged facts in the case:
-- Thurman told police that she filmed Arthur as he sexually molested several of his daughter’s female friends.
-- She said that she and Arthur would put antidepressants in cookies and then give them to the girls before they went to bed.
-- After the girls were asleep, Arthur would remove the girl’s clothes and rub the area around the vagina.
-- Thurman admitted that she videotaped the images.
Thurman and Arthur are each in custody in Tulare County after felony charges filed by the District Attorney’s Office earlier this week. Their bail is each set at $250,000 each.
"After looking at thier pictures in the newspapers they don't look sorry for what they did. Now they will probably start blaming each other.
That's it, no more reading the paper for awhile. It's just too depressing."

In cases like this, I think they should let the parents & family members of victims take care of the justice.
