The main event begins at 10:01 p.m. ET, when the moon is completely covered by the darkest part of Earth's shadow. That translates to 9:01 p.m. CT, 8:01 p.m. MT and 7:01 p.m. PT. The total phase of the eclipse lasts 51 minutes, and the moon starts coming out of the darkest shadow, or umbra, at 10:52 p.m. ET.

We never seem to have a clear night when these eclipses happen. And right now it's pretty cloudy. Oh well.

They should turn out ok. I took some of the last one and they were really good.

Wow, it actually cleared up enough for me to see it for once, even though the moon went behind the clouds a couple of times.

It was so cool....and eerie....the moon was red...we also saw parts of the spy satellite that the navy shot down. at first we thought it was a meteor shower but, the way the particles were falling didn't look like any meteor shower I've ever seen. It was kinda like the movie independence day after the mother ship was destroyed and the pieces were falling through the atmosphere only less pieces....lol....We got quite a show!

I could see parts of thru my windows but as it moved higher in the sky I went outside. My grandkidlettes and son were out there too. Did you notice that the clouds had a pale pinkish tint to them?
