My friend Martha Ann would have been 53 today...

We had known her since childhood. We were the girls of East Point. We played together and grew into young women. We supported each other and became wives and mothers together. Even though we did not always agree on everything we always knew we could depend on each other for everything.
All our happy memories of childhood, young adulthood and adulthood are tied together. We never thought our togetherness would end so swiftly.
