My desktop is a Dell with XP and Firefox. My new laptop (December '07) is a HP with Vista and Firefox. It took me a while to get accustomed to Vista. My old laptop (a Dell) is on its deathbed, so I had no choice but to upgrade it.

we have 5 computers and 1 laptop here.

ALL of the desktop computers are home built. 4 of the desktops utilize Windows XP Pro, and 1 desktop utilizes a split partition with Linux on the hard drive and Ubunto on the partition...it is this computer that is our home based Server.

The laptop also uses Windows XP Pro and is a Vaio.

for the laptop and computers we have for browsers:

Opera
Mozilla Firefox
Internet Explorer

I recently installed Linux on our server, it's not as bad as I thought it would be, lol!

I am really blown away with some of the systems some of you have built. (Since I am a computor "newbie", I have only been on about 14 years) it just never dawned on me that people actually build their own. I am very impressed. All this time I just thought I was supposed to come on here and play games, do surveys, look for free stuff-you know that kind of stuff. No wonder I do not understand DH when he says things like "spreadsheets" etc, but I do know how to get on mapquest and google and best of all BBF. All I can say to those that really "use" this thing for doing real stuff is :congrats: :wow :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
